Hey there. So, I get the appeal of starting mid level(5+) because you get your min-damage fireballs, and your 3 extra attack that misses anyways, but dang, I just really love the grind from level 1 onwards. Makes more sense to play up to level 10, with that cloak of protection, +2 dagger, potions and grappling hook you prepared with the money you worked for because of that one nasty fall at level 4, with a fleshed out character personality, than to start a game at level 10 with a restriction of one magic item rare and below and starting equipment. Like...my adventurer went through enough hardship to reach this level and wasn't smart enough to equip themselves more? And don' even get me starting on loot potential. The amount of money alone you'd have on average from selling the clothes on your enemies back's...Unrealistic. Just an example salad, all that, but I see it a lot here. ALSO, not like Id want to have all that stuff thrown at me for being whiney about it, no matter how just I feel on my stance. Not trying to shade anyone of ya' either, I just don't care for the logic, even if it's for campaign balance. I'm unsoothable on this matter--call me childish ;3
Uh, complaining aside--YO! I'm WorkinIrkin, call me Irkin, or Kinirk...Work-In, Watermelon Lord #13, or whatever isn't Dave. So, I've been searching for a while, and every time I see a campaign that starts at lv 1, it's too late xD so I figured instead of be the fish and search for hooks, I should be the fisher and set my own line? Good analogy Irkin, nailed it. I'm comfortable with homebrew, as that's where most of the fun's at, I've read and am still reading the player's manual just for funsies, so the rules are pretty firmly set in my mind, and I'm learning something new every other game I play. I've played in like, 13 campaigns in the course of a year, so I'd like to think I'm fairly experienced.
I play on R20 and discord, because it's all I know and I like my fun free time activities to stay *free*. Erm, discord is WorkinIrkin#7954 if you don't want to discuss here.
Aaaaaand finally, I'm available to play tuesdays and saturday nights consistently, I am reading my work schedule correctly, from 4:30pm pst to whenever the heII we stop playing. So yeah, I'll just sit here, waitin' to see what happens...even as I continue my baby-levels-campaign safari.
Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online Experience: a yearling Location/Timezone: pst boi Availability: The day before humpday and the day after tfi friday's consistently Preferred role: Player Game style: 5e
I guess it's a rule to...bold locked. Ahem, I guess I need that template there, so I added it. Yeet.
