Oath of Conquest offers the most different play style.
Conquest is probably the next one I'm going to play.
I'm a fan of Vengeance, but then it's ideal for the kind of angry paladins I usually make. On that note actually there aren't any Paladin sub-classes that I feel are bad; some don't get amazing features at the higher levels but then campaigns hardly ever make it that far anyway. As Aquilontune says the core Paladin is really good, so you can pick pretty much whatever fits your theme best and still get something good.
The Critical Role Oath of the Open Sea is an interesting one, given how it encourages a very different kind of Paladin, not sure if or when I'm likely to actually give it a go though.
Former D&D Beyond Customer of six years: With the axing of piecemeal purchasing, lack of meaningful development, and toxic moderation the site isn't worth paying for anymore. I remain a free user only until my groups are done migrating from DDB, and if necessary D&D, after which I'm done. There are better systems owned by better companies out there.

In my opinion, the best ones are: Conquest, Redemption, Crown, Vengeance, and Oathbreaker.
Each one has its own flavor and its own style of play.
Conquest: Thematically it is to play an authoritarian and aggressive paladin. Mechanically, he excels at crowd control, which is unusual for a paladin.
Redemption: Thematically it is to play a paladin who prioritizes non-violent solutions. That doesn't mean it's "pacifist", but rather that violence is the last option (but it is a perfectly valid option). Mechanically he is a rare paladin, but a very good one. Your first choice of Channel Divinity is excellent for a face. From his list of spells he seems to me the best paladin to focus on his magic, but you have other features that make you a good protector.
Crown: Thematically it is to play a loyal paladin who respects order and law. Mechanically, its features make it excellent for tanking and redirecting aggro to it.
Vengeance: Thematically it is to play an aggressive paladin, spiteful and "punisher". Mechanically it is excellent for crit fishing builds. I also find him the best paladin to fight with two weapons or polearm. Focus on a single opponent (usually the most powerful), dealing them as much damage as possible.
Oathbreaker: Thematically it is an anti-paladin. For me it is better as an NPC, but nothing prevents you from playing it as a PC. Mechanically, he has good options for dealing with crowds, but also for a defender or dealing damage.
I honestly prefer Vengeance paladin because it makes ur character a bit more dark and edgy. It changes the paladin a lot. Also I like Vax'ildan a lot and he's a vengeance paladin/rogue.

I like Ancient for its tenets and spells. Paladin base class is good enough that I don't worry about channel divinity especially after tasha's.
