Hi there, i'm a new player and currently making an Oath of the Crown Paladin but i can't found a build for it.
My imagination makes me choose Warforged as the race (because the idea of having a robot tanker is kinda my thing) and i chose blessed warrior as it's fighting style.
But i'm then stucked as to what to do with it since i'm a new player and still haven't grasped the concept of skills, feats, abilities, etc.
So, i'm here to ask for a sample build of it and what to prioritize in making this char works as a tanker for a party of 2 ranged archers, 1 sorcerer, and 1 barbarian.
Looks pretty solid. It’s tough to mess up a paladin so you don’t need to agonize over your decisions.
I’d take Guidance and either Sacred Flame or Toll the Dead for your cleric cantrips. Spare the Dying sounds more useful than it is. If you’re going to spend the action to stabilize someone, you might as well heal them instead. OTOH, you should be able to spam the heck out of Guidance, to great effect. And a save or suck damage cantrip because Paladins are notoriously lacking in ranged attacks. Having a ranged attack should pay off way more than a 5’ radius bomb for those occasions you’re surrounded or close to it—you don’t want to be there in the first place.
I agree completely with above poster and guidance, but not an attack cantrip. For one, your wisdom is low, so your save dc will be crap — dc 9 at low levels, most creatures will beat that most of the time. Also, you can’t smite with spells, you’re probably better off using the action to dash and get closer, or throw a javelin or handaxe. You can’t smite with that, either, but it’s something that takes advantage of your higher str score.
For a second cantrip you might look at light, since you don’t have darkvision. Or mending can actually have some nice out of combat usefulness. And while I generally agree spare the dying isn’t very good, with your party composition, it might be. Depends on the subclasses people take. If your lay on hands is the only source of healing, spare the dying might get much more attractive, especially at low levels when you don’t have much to hand out. But healers kits will be necessary for that party no matter what.

Spells gained through the Blessed Warrior fighting style use Charisma as their casting ability. OP has already selected an attack cantrip and the DC is 14. It’s the least useful attack cantrip available to them, IMHO, though.
I stand by the original recommendation. It seems to me that ranged attacks are the only real hole in the paladin chassis and thrown weapons are basically a joke, a stop gap until you can get into melee with an enemy or you run out of whatever you’re throwing. Never mind that it can be quite difficult to ever engage certain enemies in melee for a variety of reasons. As well, I suspect OP won’t be using his slots to smite much—depends on the others’ subclasses as you say.
I do like mending in a lot of cases when it’s available but, aside from guidance, the cleric cantrip list is overall a little less than; not really worth it. Honestly, I’d go with the boring, reliable Defense fighting style all day long if there’s not an extremely compelling RP reason to go Blessed Warrior.
it's true that i didn't plan to use my slots for smiting, i think i'm gonna use it for Compelled Duel instead.
as for the Blessed Warrior spells, i have my eye on Guidance and Spare the Dying but then i'll lose a mean to do damage if i didn't pick up Sacred Flame.
is it ok for Paladin to not dish out that much damages and just become a defensive/support PC?
You can play any way you feel like. It’s a storytelling game, after all :)
In terms of mechanical viability, paladin is a very good tank class. Compelled duel is a very good spell for keeping an enemy focused on you, so you can take out a powerful enemy with smites, and having a ranged cantrip for at least either getting attention or dealing some damage if you can’t close distance is also a good option.
Paladin is a strong single class anyway - you won’t be useless unless there’s already a dedicated support character and tank character.

here's the link to my character sheet that i have built for this idea : https://www.dndbeyond.com/characters/88001436
Thanks!!

I can’t remember what’s supposed to go here.
You also can change the cantrips every time you level up... so if one of them doesn't work as you like, change it for another.
Either take a ranged spell cantrip or another utility/support cantrip you think will be able to use more, giving your play experience.
