The realm of Sarkoris was destroyed when Areelu Vorlesh, a scholar and practitioner of forbidden magics, opened a rift to the abyssal planes of existence, and hordes of demons invaded the world of Golarion. Led by the evil Demon Lords Deskari and Baphomet, the abyssal forces crushed all who stood against them, turning Sarkoris into a demon‑infested land now known as the Worldwound.
Will you join the crusade and fight against evil?
I have been playing the Wrath of the Righteous video game all day every day since it came out, and I’ve been wanting to DM the adventure for a group the entire time. I’ve got the AP books, I’ve got the story of the game, now all I need are the players. I am specifically looking for players that are not familiar with the WotR video game or AP, for spoiler reasons. Being familiar with them isn’t going to keep me from selecting you, but I’d prefer to have fresh sacrif--I mean players.
I will be updating the AP to 5e, so we will be playing D&D, not Pathfinder. I will be replacing the mythic paths that the video game and AP use with mythic boons that will be granted to your characters as you progress through the story. They will be similar to epic boons granted to level 20+ characters, but they won’t be as powerful to start off with.
I have a Master subscription, and access to the Player’s Bundle, which contains the PHB, SCAG, XGE, and TCE. If you want to use a race or anything else that is not included in one of those sources, you’ll have to own it yourself.
I am looking for committed roleplayers with good writing skills. I’d like this campaign to be worth reading and rereading, so proper spelling and grammar are important, as is writing engaging posts.
To speed combat up, there will be three turns in combat: PCs’ turn, allied NPCs’ turn, and enemies’ turn. The exact order will be determined by the highest DEX score in each group.

Rossa was an adventuring tomcat. One day her daredevil nature made her explore an abandoned temple. That was a bad choice. Because the temple was a hideout of a crazy cultist, he caught the halfling girl and tried to sacrifice her to his dark master. Just when she was about to meet her doom, Rossa used her wit and shouted " I sacrifice this old man! " Thinking it was funny or simply tired of the old mad man, the dark god accepted her offering. They gave Rossa power in exchange for one impossible duty. Now the halfling girl must find a way to stop the Demo Lords and their abyssal army. Basina Fairfoot- Halfling paladin Shadow through the forest (Shadow) - Tabaxi Ranger (beastmaster)
A typically curious youngster, Merkin was constantly in the wilds. Whether chasing small game, bird watching or foraging he would spend nearly every waking moment away from the village.
One particularly lovely day he was foraging at the base of a huge oak tree deep in the woods - mushrooms the quarry. Unbeknownst to him the fungi he was gathering were not the eating kind but the mind altering. He absentmindedly chewed on several as he went about his task. Unconsciousness followed shortly after. He did not wake for a day and a half and when did his memory was clouded and fuzzy.
For weeks he lived in the forest, wandering aimlessly. Eventually the nagging thoughts that this wasn't quite right faded, replaced with familiarity. He became adept at living in the wild. After years of surviving a wild existence, his desire for contact with something other than animals has driven him to the city of Kenabres
Not familiar with the module or the game, but I downloaded the player's guide and am interested. Looks like the party will need a Paladin in this fight.
Backstory: Born and raised in Kenabres, Arnald is a true child of the crusade. His parents fought in the crusades, as did their parents before them, and their parents before them, stretching back generations. He was named after his grandfather, a warrior that returned from the wilderness with Yaniel during the last crusade. It was this long, faithful line of service that brought the family to the attention of the gods, whom blessed them and their child with the touch of a celestial. Arnald’s birth was celebrated among the family and he was raised as a soldier and fighter, coming of age in the camps around Kenabres. Guided by the voice of his angels, his purpose is to defend the innocent and champion the cause of good against the demon invaders. He is eager to leave Kenabres to begin his journey to fulfill his calling.
I have no familiarity with "The Wrath of the Righteous" storyline but have taken the time to read the player's guide.

Race: Variant human (ASI = +1 to DEX and CON; feat = to be determined)
Class: Rogue
Alignment: Chaotic good
Brief character description/backstory: Enlisting in the fight against the Worldwound is, for Kane, a means to an end: leaving behind the game of cat-and-mouse that has become his daily existence. Weary of the effort of shedding his connections to questionable characters and avoiding the consequences of his poor decision-making, he is ready to engage in something a bit less selfish and a bit more meaningful. Kane has no aspirations of being a zealous weapon in the hand of a good and mighty god, but he does hope, rather simply, that the days ahead might in some small way offset the days behind.

Justice was abandoned on the steps of a temple of Iomedae as a toddler. He remembers flashes of his parents, his mother's warm eyes, filled with tears, and a stern visage of his father. He was raised by the clergy of Iomedae, and took many of their teachings to heart. He took the name Justice upon reaching adulthood. His stern and unbending view of justice caused a rift between him and the clergy, and he left the safety of the temple to find his way in the world. What better place to help than the Worldwound, a place teeming with forces of chaos and evil to be defeated.

Name: Ella Greenwood
Ability Scores: Ability scores: STR 8 DEX 16 CON 13 INT 17 WIS 10 CHA 10
Race: Forest Gnome
Class: Artificer
Alignment: Neutral Good
Backstory: .
Since the day she was born, Ella's head was filled with questions. Why is the sky blue? Why are the clouds floating in the sky? Why does my nappy keep getting wet and smelly everyday! When she could walk and speak, the world gave her tools, magic and science to solve those puzzles. Now the biggest mystery for Ella is the domain of the demon Lords. And her curiosity is hungrier than ever!
Kythaela never fit in with others growing up. Socially awkward and insecure, she spent most of her childhood alone. When she was a young adult and her parents succumbed to illness, she found herself with nobody left, and so she ran. She ran until she found a circle of druids, who offered her respite and a place to stay. And then they offered her a place among them.
She spent several years there, learning the druidic arts. Meanwhile, she found herself drawn to another initiate of the circle--a human woman named Cecilia. Acquaintances turned to friends, and friends turned to more than that. For the first time, Kythaela had someplace she belonged, and not just that--she had someone she loved, and someone who loved her back.
But it didn't last. Because Cecilia wasn't all she seemed. For some reason or another, she wanted the circle dead, something that didn't become apparent until it was too late. Until everyone was already dead.
Everyone except Kythaela. Everyone else died in the night, throats slit before they could react, but not her. Cecilia let her wake up, let her discover the corpses, met her outside for a fair fight, and Kythaela would assume it was because she was confident she would win if Cecilia hadn't let her live. The other woman let her live, but be it out of love or with an ulterior motive couldn't be seen. And though she survived, she wasn't unscathed--when the battle was over and all was said and done, Kythaela was down most of her left arm.
She shaped a branch into a replacement, and gave the bodies proper burials, and when nothing was left for her in the grove, she left. Kythaela went on her way, searching. Whether she's searching for Cecilia or just for a new purpose, she can't say. But perhaps fighting off demons can be her purpose, if that's what she needs.
Character Name: Hyacinth Ability Scores: 8, 16, 16, 10, 14, 10 ((Point Buy)) Race: Genasi (Air) ((I assume this will be alright, though Genasi themselves do not appear in the Pathfinder Universe many other elemental beings do; Ifrit, Sylph, etc.)) Class: Ranger Alignment: CG BriefCharacter Description / Backstory:
Orphaned and left to fend for herself, Hyacinth’s has few fleeting positive memories of her childhood. One memory does persist above all others though; the day her mother had been taken from her, tied to a stake and ‘cleansed’ of her impurities. “It is Iomedae’s will,” the self-righteous ‘witch-hunters’ had espoused, often to great cheer and clamour.
But her mother had not been the monster that was claimed. Sure, she had been different to many that called Kenabres their home, but that was no crime – at least in Hyacinth’s young eyes. Times had been tough since she stole away from those same ‘witch-hunters’, attempting to get by on her lonesome on the streets of the city.
It was only later in life that Hyacinth discovered her unwilling role in the accusations levelled at her mother; for, you see, a human giving birth to one ‘touched’ as Hyacinth was, attracts attention. Growing embittered at the life forced upon her by those dogmatically professing to be acting for a ‘greater good’, Hyacinth frequently found herself on the wrong side of the law; oftentimes undertaking all forms of criminal task with reckless abandon, uncaring of any consequences.
It was this callous disregard for the rules she was breaking, or the people her crimes affected, that led to her subsequent capture and imprisonment. Hyacinth now finds herself in a precarious position; face a life-time behind bars, or become drafted into the crusade and fight alongside ‘Iomedae’s faithful’.
