Hello everyone. I made a one-shot for a game over the weekend and it is very silly. So, I thought it might be fun to inflict on you all. I am looking for a collection of 4-6 players, each at third level. I do not need a lengthy backstory, as it is a one-shot. Just know that you all will already know each other and you all will be in need of money.
Just use standard 5e books (if you want to use something else, you probably can, but talk to me first)
Stats: 4d6, reroll 1s, drop the lowest
Starting equipment + one common magic item
This one will be weird, be prepared to roll with some odd stuff.
This is all that I feel prepared to share at this time. Y'all have a nice day. Review of applications commences on Jan 19.

IK that you said that we didn't need a backstory, but if you'd like a small something, go ahead and ask
“Don’t ask about the eye.” You come under the gaze of a sea half elf, and his strange ersatz eye. From time to time, he seems to be listening to the waves, listening to something else that you cannot hear. He stands and looks off in the distance, as if he’s hearing sounds from beneath the waves, then he sits back down. “I’m from the Moonshae Isles. They find me useful around here, they feel like I’m a lucky charm, that I can make the winds blow. Maybe I can.”
He’s wearing leather armor with a green patina, and as you sit and talk with him he’s rubbing it with a cloth with some oil and some green vegetation from his pouch, imparting a water resistance to it he feels and protecting the leather. He used to be a member of the crew from Baldur’s Gate, a deckhand and a watcher of the waves and weather. “I don’t know what happened. They’ve asked me ten times. I don’t know why the storm came up. Why I didn’t see it. It’s not my fault.” He turns his head and listens again. “Sometimes, the dark ones are silent. I’m not going to tell you the tale yet. I’m sure you want to know all about my eye and how I got these powers.” He keeps rubbing the leather protecting it. “Not yet anyway. Someday. Maybe.”
His left eye swings around and looks behind him, into the distance, then swings back around to face you. It makes his expression harder to read, he seems to look right through you. He gives you a dreamy half smile, semi-smirk. “Helluva spot we’re in, aren’t we?”
Hm... a complete nonsense one-shot? I'm interested...

Okay, kind of not-great stats, but I can still work with this.
Name: Andre the Wizard
Race: Custom Lineage (Half-giant... goliath might be better thematically, but I needed the feat)
Class: Wizard (School of Abjuration)
Background: Outlander
Backstory: Andre's mom always said that he should be a Barbarian... but Andre knew that life wasn't for him. He was a true intellectual! A man of learning! The fact that he weighed 300 pounds of pure muscle by the time he was 14 made no difference to Andre! He wanted to learn how to be a wizard! And so, by either divine intervention or threatening to break the proctor's head, he pass the exam and get into wizard school and... well, he wasn't very good at it, but DANG IT, ANDRE WAS GOING TO BE A WIZARD IF IT KILLED HIM!!! The school eventually decided to send him on a um... extended field test! Yes, that's right! To get him out of their hair demonstrate his true potential!
Backstory: Back in his day, Jacks was a powerful prince and a master in the arts of the Weave. People told tales of his ability to manipulate emotions, his lethal kiss, and of course, his countless lovers. After many power hungry plays to seize control of the whole empire and usurp the throne, he was sealed away in a deck of cards as Jack of Hearts. Centuries passed before he manages to escape his card prison. Unfortunately, he has lost his powers due to the curse still placed upon him. But Jacks is prepared. He had long time ago grew a clone of himself before he was sealed away, and he only needs to return to his old kingdom and transfer his soul into his clone. Even if his clone is no longer there, there’s enough equipment and resources in his Tower to grow another. He has been asking people for aid, “If you’re willing to lend me some gold now, I shall grant you land and title once I resume my rightful place on the throne.” Though for some reason no one believes him, so he has come up with the gold on his own.
Backstory: Coindropper spent life without putting any effort into anything. Always trying to get out of working, he would make bets about anyone or anything, pawning off his responsibilities. Finding a knack for gambling, he amassed a small fortune. Traveling to find new way to gamble, Coindropper found his way to a secret gambling house in the forest. After seemingly playing for mere minutes, he found himself owing a massive amount to a powerful fey. Coindropper was sent out to make money in order to pay back his debt. To ensure his return the fey gave Coindropper wildly unpredictable, magical abilities.
Tornbolg was raised in poor, squalid neighborhoods by a harlot, shunned by society, and forced to hide for the majority of his life. Or at least that's how it has always been until, tranced by the beauty of the flute and the hardness of the drum, he began to build a reputation for himself - to entertain others with his playful stories and music, on the streets, in the inns, at parties and eventually at grand feasts.
Unfortunately for Torn, his only lover, a human poet with beautiful auburn hair, decided to betray his trust and have an affair with another. Enraged, and deeply hurt, Torn slayed the man on the spot and ran away from the country. Determined to build a new life for himself, Tornbolg left his real name and identity behind, taking the persona of a meager storyteller instead, whose past will never be known.
"Fuego" was raised a fisherman by his water genasi family. In his teenage rebellion, he ran off to become an expert in fire magic, to prove to everyone that nobody can put him in a box.
