I'm DMing a campaign using published modules (named Mixing Modules, links in my signature). We just finished The Peculiar Case of the Selptan Felines, I'm still deciding which module to run next.
There are 3 characters enrolled so far: Thariv Lysander, Half-Elf Warlock Luther Greylock, Half-Orc Fighter Zephyra Starwood, Human Druid
An extra player or two would be nice. If you want to join do this: - creata a level 2 character. All sources allowed, no homebrew. Add 60 extra gp to buy weapons or equipment. - roll for stats here (4d6, drop lowest). Then decide if you want to use that result, use the standard array, or point buy. - write a small backstory here. - select a color for your character voice (or just use bold text for them.)
I plan to pick up to two characters randomly tomorrow and start the next adventure.
Backstory: A pit fighter in Calimport for a wealthy slave-owner, Blossom was their prize fighter, despite his flowery name - a large, intimidating tabaxi that fought with fist and claw instead of weapons. He was forced to fight animals, orc, goblins, or whatever else was thrown at him, in order to 'pay off' his debts to the slave-owner and their seemingly bottomless interest rates - a slave in all but name.
His final fight pitted him against a monstrous bear, which would have surely killed him, but for the efforts of those running the pits. Their whips, meant to spur it towards Blossom, enraged the bear enough that it turned on them, and ran amok through the fighting pit, killing the slave-owner in the process. Blossom escaped, both his debt and Calimshan, and headed north away from that wretched place to start his life anew.

The first (The one with UA)
Name: Kara Chrernin Race: Rabbitfolk Class: Ranger Backstory: Raised on the border between the Feywild and Material Plane, Kara and her family have been guiding and helping those lost or trapped in the Feywild for as long as anyone in her family can remember. They travel, searching out places where the boarders between worlds are weak to try and stop those who wish to do harm from crossing over.

Backstory:
I had to live on the streets to survive. I had to do things such as stealing to eat. But one day, I ran away because of a fire, and I decided to take a life of adventure instead of simply living on the streets and hopefully, I will be able to do more than I otherwise would be doing and the fire that I ran away from led to my real life.

Tysris Goblinbane wobbles over to a chair and sits down in a chair to meet you, a haggard smile on his face and a big grin. He tries to keep a positive outlook despite his current condition. He tells a tale of his upbringing and his father Duror that brought him up and his large family, he is the youngest of 11, and he feels that he was an afterthought. His father was a miner who lost his wife in an accident, the details of which were always sketchy, he wonders if it was an accident at all. He was born in a cave; his mother Agnar was assisting Duror with starting and maintaining their family mine, but usually exhausted after looking after so many little ones. Pity that she never got to see the results of their labors. Duror became rich and built a mansion near the big city of Neverwinter, but Tysris never felt comfortable there. He always felt more comfortable out in the open, outside in nature, hunting and exploring. He was immensely strong, loved to swing an axe or use a shovel and pick.
He discovered his spirit animal that came to him one night when he was rip roaring drunk (which was most nights), a black bear, that connected to his spirit. Most days he felt better away from people. He felt lead to Gauntlgrym, led there by dreams and visions, and he wished to mine the earth like his father. He came from a family that became wealthy, but he wanted to come by gold on his own efforts. There are many dark creatures and fearsome foes the deeper you delve, he learned that as time went by. At one point he encountered a set of tunnels and a pack of kobolds, three in particular that eerily spoke with the same voice, but they ran off before he could speak with them. He found a series of traps in their tunnels and decided to leave that area altogether.
One day, on his deepest dig of all, he uncovered a cavern that obviously had been found before. He felt that he was on his way to discovering his own motherlode, but instead he found Drow elves. They moved quickly, it was a group of 5 who were patrolling and working together, and seeming as strong as he was, he found himself quickly outmatched. They beat the piss out of him and knocked one of his front teeth out, he has an odd whistling sound to his speech now when he talks. He wishes to join up with a group of adventures and work together to avoid getting bushwhacked again.
Background: Ufeza was orphaned at such a young age he hardly remembers his family. After begging and scraping a living on the streets he was taken in by a merchant caravan. On a long journey, he befriended a troupe of performers. They taught him to play music, recite the written word, and perform acrobatic stunts. This honed his deep-running curiosity into a true passion, and ever since Ufeza has traveled the world for new experiences, art, and anything the world brings.
Color: Blue but I'll work with whatever is available.

Jingles Halfling Rogue
70 Starting gold
From an early age Jingles seem to stick to things that caught his eye, at least that is what he claimed when ever he was 'discovered' with someone else's property in his pocket. But Usually his quick grin and abashed look got him off with, mostly, stern words. As he grew older the tone changed as did the abjurations. It got so bad Jingles had to take to the road and a life foot-loose and fancy-free.
Soon, as the school of hard-knocks began it's intense instructions, he had to develop his natural 'talents' in order to survive; becoming an escape artist and an excellent burglar, amongst other things.
Race: Custom Lineage (3/4 moon elf, father is moon elf, mother is half moon elf.)
Class: Cleric
Background: Acolyte
Backstory: Hykan's parents did not want their child to suffer the stigma of being less than other elves so they traveled to new lands. Guided by Selune they found shelter near one of her temples. Hykan was raised as an Acolyte of the faith. He serves his God faithfully and hopes to spread her good word to as many as possible. Hykan seeks out adventures, using the resulting encounters and popularity to prosthelytize the faith of Selune.
Hykan spends the hours of twilight immediately after sunset to practice with his elvish longbow. Knowing that sometimes words alone with not carry the day and daring deeds will be needed. He has taken to using a blackened bow and arrows, and referring to himself as 'The Black Arrow.' Using the alias to spread hope and faith among the populace.

Thuroe Von Grumm, Rock Gnome Blood Hunter.
Thuroe comes from a clan of noble protectors and preservers whose family mission is to gather all kinds of monster lore. The Von Grumms control a small, remote estate near the Spine of the World where they keep a library compiled over several generations - a large repository hidden beneath the sturdy foundations of the family's wide tower-fortress. Thuroe, the youngest of his generation, had set out with several of his cousins to explore regions further to the south, but was separated from his group during a dreadful snowstorm. His mission unfinished, he perseveres and continues south, hoping to put his hard-trained skills to good use and to return home one day with a large tome of lore to contribute to the family legacy.
