Background: The Slayer's Take is a guild in Vasselheim that is paid to hunt rare animals, typically for specific parts of the animal. The Slayer's Take pays homage to Ioun, the goddess of knowledge, prophecy, and skill.
Backstory: Having grown up in Vasselheim, Randall was very aware of the exploits of the Slayer's Take and would spend hours upon hours writing stories of "Heroes" adventuring out and defeating legendary monsters. Eventually as he grew older he would put those stories to song and started to earn a living in different taverns of the city working as a bard. Finally he decided to take the Trials himself and join the Take and was gifted a magical helm by his retired father who was once a respected guard of the city, that seemed to always be able to understand whatever traveler came into the city.
Timezone: PST
What do you want me to roll for gold?
Favorite Critical Character: Probably a mix between Vex and Scanlan.
I am in about 6 PbP campaigns right now and I am self-employed and work from home so I am able to check the website quite often. Though depending on work and due dates I might be absent for several hours.
Magic Item: Mac-Fuirmidh Cittern(Hopefully that's the correct spelling)
Short Backstory: Trell never knew his real parents. Unless he's a very tall, pointy-eared halfling. He was raised by Newan Marses, a kindly old halfling luthier, and his wife Rosora. From the beginning, Trell knew he was destined for... well, not much, really. He wanted nothing more than to follow in his adopted father's footsteps, building instruments for a living and perhaps occasionally playing them as a side gig for a little extra cash. Fate, however, had different plans for the young half elf. Newan suffered a fatal stroke when Trell was nineteen, and whispered into Trell's ear the code to the safe in their little house's cellar just before he passed. Inside the safe Trell found an unusual lute, as well as a short note and an ancient looking scrap of paper containing something that looked to be a short piece of sheet music. He read the note, and learned that Newan had come across the paper and the instrument in his younger years, but had never learned how to make them work, suffering a terrible headache whenever he tried to use them. He hoped that Trell, who was more musically inclined, would be able to figure them out. It took him quite a while, but Trell did eventually learn how to use both the instrument and the notes on the paper, wielding them both to achieve amazing things. He recently joined the Slayer's Take to put his abilities to the test, and attempt to make his fortune in the world.
Favorite Critical Role Character: Nott. Goblins are great. Don't care if she ain't actually one anymore, she was once one, and therefore is the greatest.
PbPs/Other Games: None on these forums currently, 4 on discord. Two irl(well, as irl as possibly with the quarantine) games, though one is on hold, weekly sessions. The only one I run is currently very inactive, and though I've been considering running a new irl one lately, that's still a long ways off(the setting is barely developed)
Timezone: Pacific Daylight Time

Ability Scores: Ability scores: 91514131514 (Or might I be able to take point buy/standard array instead of these? Holy I've only ever rolled worse once) Character Name: Kastor Bilvyn Germor Thunderhhammer (Only goes by Kastor) Race/Class: Rock Gnome (purely for flavor half Dwarf on his Mother's side and half Gnome on his Father's side. Only the game mechanics of the Gnome) Path of the Ancestral Guardian Alignment: Neutral Good Levels of Gold: (At least I am guessing what you mean, each of these x10 since Barbarian starting wealth is 2d4x10) 668565 (And if I understood the rolling 6 levels of gold than 230 gold) Magic Item: Amulet of the Drunkard, a parting gift from Mother Dearest before leaving home. (Or possibly Gauntlets of Ogre Power given how terrible the rolls came out)
Backstory: Though many adventurers begin their careers with some grand event or miraculous event survived, Kastor's tale truly began with three cases of attempted murder. Born and raised as a librarian to a lovingly married couple, his Gnomish father Bilvyn Rustshaver and Dwarven mother Tiznura Thunderhammer the hybrid man was too tall to be easily identified as a Gnome, but on the short and skinny side for a Dwarf. He found comfort in organizing and maintaining the tomes as well as reading as much as he could in his spare time to indulge his nigh insatiable curiosity. At the (for his race) young age of 35 three teenage humans decided to do as teens are wont to do when their hormones and false confidence outweigh their actual intelligence: in this case causing trouble in a library. Kastor attempted to politely request they leave, to no avail. Diplomacy had never been his strong suit and despite being rather physically fit he was still a full foot and a half shorter than the smallest of the delinquents. To show their utmost disrespect, one of the teenagers grabbed a book from a nearby shelf and with a shit-eating grin tore a page from it's binding.
When Kastor awoke, he found himself holding a bloodied broken table leg, the bloodied black and blue forms of the three trouble makers laying quivering in pools of their blood, tears and other fluids released in terror. After a very lengthy debate with the guards as well as a few years of house arrest and fines during which Germor had taught her son about harnessing and controlling the rage within Kastor resolved to leave home and experience the world for himself. Hoping to use his anger to do some good for the world, and utilizing the fascinating traditions and tricks his mother had passed down Kastor found a knack for killing things with brute force. And what better place to do both as well as earn gold to keep bread on the table as the Slayer's Take? (happy to change any details to fit place of origin/some other details if you wish to discuss)
Favorite Critical Role Character: Grog hands down. Not only because of how hilarious his antics were, also how well Travis played him in that there were several moments you could see him think basically "this would be the smart thing to do.....Grog is stupid.....damn" and do the dumb thing.
Number of games: 2 Play by posts and one text based game (scheduled sessions) which takes place late night for me since the DM and most players are on the other side of the world.
Hi! I'm really new to the site, and I just wanted to know if I could speak about possibly joining a game. I'm usually pretty free!
I kind of want to play a stealthy cleric if it's possible. I don't really enjoy watching Critical Role. Watching games makes me a bit frustrated and just want to play. If I had to pick something from Critical Role, I did see that episode with Vin Deisal. That's my favorite. I'm in Arizona, we use MST.

Was thinking of playing a Hill Dwarf Cleric (Forge Domain) - Ulfgar Fireforge - to fill your healer & tank needs. Background is a guild artisan - a brewer of brilliant ales, a keg of which he carries on his back (if it can work game wise & encumbrance etc). He wears an Amulet of the Drunkard (uncommon magic item & heirloom) that was handed down by his father. He hopes to develop the perfect ale, one that surpasses those that brewed ales in his hometown & makes his name known in taverns around the world. His life as a cleric, especially that of the forge started at a young age as his father was a blacksmith who prayed to Moradin (if we’re using Wildemount deities). He learnt his father’s trade as well, but wandered the path of a cleric just as much as a blacksmith His father, a drunk, gave him the amulet before he died, something he’d used nearly everyday of his life in one way or another. It was during his spare time growing up that he brewed ales for his father, perfecting them over the years which finally led to his acceptance into the brewers guild.
My favourite Critical Role character is Ford & I’m playing 2 PbP characters presently with a couple more looking to start up soon. I’m based in Australia, so posting between 5am-7pm AEST (approximately 2pm-4am CST).
Has the selection been made yet, and we've just not been notified yet, or is that not quite done yet? If the former is true, congratulations to the lucky winner. If the latter is true, I'll recross my fingers for a little while longer.
Sorry, the riots in the Twin Cities was a bit overwhelming today. I did make my selection. Thank you again for your time and effort. Best of luck on future adventures!

Whats your opinion on UA? Considering an Eloquent Bard, a Runecarving Fighter, or a Half-dead Rogue, if possible.

UA is fine but undead/revenant I'd have to be sold on how it/they would want to join a party of monster hunters.
