with xanatar book to everything out , dragonborn got some interest by few players aka dragonhide feat. i understand the rule of 10 + dex or if you play a barb or monk its 10 + dex + con/wis now heres the issue and since both sides have valid point im here asking about it. so a dragonborn barbarian with said feat would still get only 10 + dex + con but heres the point that makes it a debate , a barb AC means he can shrug off the hit by bracing for impact or plainly let his awesome body absob the hit harmlessly so wount the 13 ac be the base and override the 10 from unarmored defence? , he did come to me with the lizardfolk and torte does it for free without a feat and dargonborns cant even though its a feat. so what is the official rule on this matter becose one side says *rules are rules written right there black on white* and the other is *heres the exemple of 2 creatures with "natural armor" using there 13 for unarmored defence ability*
Different AC methods do not stack. That is the general rule. A Dragonborn barbarian would use the highest between the unarmored defence from the barbarian (10+DEX+CON) and the feat Dragonborn hide (13+DEX).
