With Giant's Might the first effect says: "If you are smaller than Large, you become Large, along with anything you are wearing. If you lack the room to become Large, your size doesn't change."
so If you were between to enemies/Allies (don't think the hostility level really changes things, other than potentially being willing to move) this would mean that there would only be available space of 5ft not 10ft due to proximity. Would that be enough to trigger the lack of room restriction on size? Believe RAW would dictate yes as there wasn't floor space. Although would it be fair to think RAI that the lack of room comes from fixed restrictions such as being in a cavern or passage that was only 5ft wide. I guess equally would being grappled prevent change.
Has any one encountered such events and how was it treated. To me feel if there is potential to create the space then strength check might come into play to decided outcome, although equally being a level 3 acquired ability am I over thinking it
When I was playing a RK, I worked under the assumption you could not enlarge in that situation of adjacent creatures. Personally, I found it to make for an interesting tactical choice of when I would embiggen.
I don’t think being grappled by itself would matter, you’re still in your square, if there’s enough space to expand away from the thing grappling you it should work. And would be pretty cinematic and cool to do, honestly.
