OK so I understand the basics of con. Except this one thing I can't find anywhere through a lot of searching. Does your con mod affect damage taken in a fight? Say we have a 2nd level warlock and it takes 7 slashing damage. The warlock has 14 con (+2mod). Does he take the full 7 damage or is it reduced by the con at all? My friends that I've been playing with have been using con like some sort of damage cushion and I have no idea if that's how it actually works.
Hit Dice: 1d8 per bard level Hit Points at 1st Level: 8 + your Constitution modifier Hit Points at Higher Levels: 1d8 (or 5) + your Constitution modifier per bard level after 1st
The die changes based on your class, but every class calls constitution this way.
The rule you're looking for is "Resistance". There isn't really a damage reduction feature. Specific examples, yes (monks) but reducing damage is generally held under Resistance - the target takes half damage from X Y Z attacks.

Also I should state that I'm fairly new. So don't mind my lack of knowing where to look lol ><
No, the CON modifier has no effect on the damage taken. It does increase your hit points.
Your Constitution primarily affects your max HP.
