Loading would cancel out Thirsting Blade- the whole point of loading is to cancel out Extra Attack and Extra Attack-like features. If your insistent on this build (which I will say, although please ignore this, is suboptimal to eldritch blast), consider taking the Crossbow Expert feat, which lets you ignore the loading property for crossbows with which you are proficient.

Look at what you've done. You spoiled it. You have nobody to blame but yourself. Go sit and think about your actions.
Don't be mean. Rudeness is a vicious cycle, and it has to stop somewhere. Exceptions for things that are funny. Go to the current Competition of the Finest 'Brews! It's a cool place where cool people make cool things.

Oh I know full well my build isn't exactly optimal, but I was going more for something that leans into being master of different types of weapons (as a Hexblade) rather than one that iterates on Eldritch Blast.

Regardless this does make sense, thank you.
For that character concept, Crossbow Expert is a good feat anyway. Your ranged attacks don't get disadvantage if someone's in melee with you, and you can get a bonus action attack via hand crossbow in your off-hand if your pact weapon is in a one-handed form

Active characters:
Carric Aquissar, elven wannabe artist in his deconstructionist period (Archfey warlock) Lan Kidogo, mapach archaeologist and treasure hunter (Knowledge cleric) Mardan Ferres, elven private investigator obsessed with that one unsolved murder (Assassin rogue) Xhekhetiel, halfling survivor of a Betrayer Gods cult (Runechild sorcerer/fighter)
Also, crossbow expert + sharpshooter + thirsting blade + lifedrinker will do more damage than agonizing blast but it takes quite a bit of investment to get there. Combine with Shadow of Moil for advantage on attacks or Spirit Shroud for additional damage on each attack within 10'. Spirit shroud works better for the GWM/PAM version of this warlock build.
P.S. Thirsting blade won't bypass the loading property on crossbows.
Oh I'm just playing for fun, I'm not at all trying to lean into the optimal. I'm going to dip into College of Swords and just go for a fun spellsword build.
I'm probably just not gonna take Eldritch Blast at all, funnily enough I don't have it and our sorcerer does.

Weapons with the Loading property seem to only allow one attack per action, but the Thirsting Blade invocation allows for two attacks per action.
If I were to have a ranged pact weapon (via Improved Pact Weapon) can I attack with it twice in an action, or does Loading still prevent this?

Ooh, that'll be something to keep in mind then!

Bows are ranged weapons that don't have the Loading property - and can be summoned with Improved Pact Weapon.
