Thought I'd share my my current campaign I'm running in the world I'm building.
The current primary location is built on a pseudo socialist / communist country of Dezaria, where magic is forbidden, with exception of the one authorised religion.
Magic is rare, except that which clerics and paladins call upon. Wizards, Sorcerers and the like have not existed for nearly a thousand years since an event closed the world off from magic. Clerics and Paladin's use the Weave from the God, though having His own "reserve" of the weave used up after centuries, has grown weak of mind.
Magic items made from over a millennia still exit but are rare.
The campaign revolves around the return of the Weave, but with it the return of aberrations and fiends that are starting to assail the land.
There's five players in the campaign, and all are first time players. Yet they are really into it and are not afraid to role play. There's already some interesting conflict between the players, notably the paladin who strictly abides by her faith, versus a cleric who secretly seeks to undermine the faith.
It seems that each After Session Report gets more and more detailed! For our 10th Session, I even did up a cringey video version of it
I made the maps using some online generators, and then personally detailed them - later I found some better generators that would have done this done me, but oh well!
World building using World Anvil has been great fun, it's got some nifty features once you get the hang of it.
I started my first campaign as a 5e DM and after 8 sessions the players are level 3, and making their way to the frontier. We have six characters, mostly newbs. The gnome ranger needs her chatty curiosity reigned in now and then.
This world concept is really cool. I have always loved it when magic is rare because it creates interesting scenarios for the players, and a religion-based communist society is a fun take on this. The insane god is the cherry on top.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone, there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
Had my 2nd ever PvP encounter ever as a DM in this campaign , and it was the 11th session since the start!
Thought I'd share the details here.
The dragon born paladin (Surina) was playing as a true, albeit dogmatic paladin and did not veer from their resolve, which was escalating conflict between her and the other others which had a softer look at morality. and bent some small "rules".
This was evident especially between a childhood friend and cleric - Gilles - who was slowly turning towards being a wizard, something that was currently outlawed in the homebrew land I invented. The paladin had secretly contacted a Witch Huntress in the aim of reporting Gilles as a wizard. The others had an inkling that the Witc Huntress wasn't all that she seemed and planned to reveal her as a spell caster as well, (and for that session of revelation, Surina was not present!).
During a later combat encounter in a salt mine against an aberration, it was pitch black but Gilles cast "light" on his mace, which meant he and the dragon born paladin could see in the dark (all the others had dark vision, of course). Coming across a large aberration, Surina failed a wisdom roll badly and suffered madness - she hallucinated that Gilles' face appeared from the cave walls and laughed at her. Then, shortly after, the Gilles cast "Guiding bolt" at the monster, but rolled a Natural 1. It veered off into one of the other heroes fighting it, and at this point Surina decided that Gilles had fully turned on them all, just as the creature was defeated.
She charged Gilles and I got everyone to roll a fresh round for initiative. Surina was still healthy and had all of her spells (including Smite), whilst the Gilles was on 9 HP and no spells. A massive hit from the paladin using "Smite" could possibly insta-kill the poor wizard/cleric with low max HP. Surina and Gilles rolled the same initiative roll, so had to reroll between them. On this, Gilles rolled a nat 1, and Surina a nat 2. However, after adding mods, the final results was Gilles "1" and Surina "0", on account of her -2 Dex modifier!
Gilles acted first, and dispelled "Light" on the mace and took some steps back in the pitch black dark. Surina swung wildly but couldn't hit in the absolute dark. And so whilst Gilles blindly walked around, and Surina kept failing her perception tests, all the while the others with dark vision all watched this ridiculous scene play out.
Eventually, Surina managed to light a candle, and the heat of battle and her anger had subsided, so she walked out of the mine whilst Gilles skulked and hid in the darkness. The other adventurers looted the room and then went up to the surface, where Surina was waiting. She tried to persuade the others than Gilles was evil, and had turned on them, but the others stuck of course with Gilles. As the argument was going nowhere but no one was drawing their weapons this time, I asked the Paladin player if they wished to "leave", and they decided to do so, this retiring the character.
They're now playing The Great Catsby, a tabaxi bard :)

Thanks for the reply!
@ CadenzaTheAdventurer - I do session reports here, and they are somewhat expanding for better or worse through each chapter.
Session reports: https://www.worldanvil.com/w/merra-cailus/c/sin-26-ruin-campaign-category
And even did up a badly voiced video session for the most recent one: https://www.worldanvil.com/w/merra-cailus/a/11-rising-tensions-plot
Good luck with your own campaign! Managing six players on your first go seems like a challenge :)
