Hey so my group is looking for something a bit more relaxed to play through this summer, and I had heard that AI was pretty fun and not stereotypically *dark and murderhobo*.
However, reading through the sourcebook ive noticed i dont get it all too much.
I understand the players have a business and the idea is to grow it and operate out of their homebase and market things. Im guessing that business is a monster hunting business? Or something similar, thats the part im most stuck on.
Also is the prewritten adventure in that book any good?

'The Cleverness of mushrooms always surprises me!' - Ivern Bramblefoot.
It’s supposed to be somewhat comedic, but you can play it how you want it. I’m running a campaign now that includes portions of AI (along with straight FR, Phlandalin series and Saltmarsh) you can do almost anything you want with it really. There is a competing group of adventurers that the players don’t know about so there is going to be some competition for them By a group sponsored by the enemies of their sponsor(s) as well as lots of outside activities. Just be careful how you use the equipment they get from the central office and make sure they are paying at least the basic franchise costs back to the sponsors.
Your players can have whatever business they feel would belong according to their backgrounds and such. It can be a Monster Hunting Business. It can be an Acquisitions Business. It can be a Murder for hire, or Detective Agency. Whatever brings the flavor to an "underworld" campaign, so to speak.
