After our current campaign ends I'll be running a new campaign set in my world but I've been very curious about using Lord Soth as a villain for quite some time now. I've been doing a lot of reading up on him and getting that research in so I can run and play him effectively and making him truly the BBEG of our next campaign. I know Soth is from Krynn and it's been disputed that he spent some time in Ravenloft and I'm generally curious on ways that make sense for him to appear in my own world.
I want to make a good reason for him to be there and not just because I think it would be cool for him to just show up. My current plan is him wanting to turn entire worlds into an undead army that he commands, but that's kind of uninteresting and I'd love to reach out and see if anyone can expand on that, or give me better ideas. Currently, my plan is that he attacks the capital continent of my world, murders the Queen and assumes the throne while his forces work towards his goal of turning everyone into his undead legion. I also am giving him a Dracolich mount, cause why not.

He was allowed to leave the Mists because he admitted his sins and accepted his punishment. Unfortunately for him, the mists did not spit him out to Krynn, but rather to your world

Well, that's easy and makes sense (to me) so thanks!
