So, although my current campaign is not even half way through, I know exactly what I'm doing and how it will (should) play out ( the players are hooked on a prophecy, which they should be). However, for my next campaign I would like to set it in the Shattered Isles, the world of Dauntless. Has anyone got any ideas for a story, or should it just be a bit more open world?

Personally I'd like to go for more open-ended storytelling. Think of the Argo or the Odyssey. Give them a goal to work towards (Find the Fleece/Get back to home after a war) but have crazy stuff happen along the way

Hadgar Greystone, Lv 10 Duergar Death Cleric. Call of Cantraxis campaign, Moonshae.
DM: Imperia Regnum Ancient Rome Theros Homebrew.
Gri'im the Red, LV 7 Orc Druid Rime of the Frost Maiden Campaign.
I'm not too familiar with the world of Dauntless, but perhaps there could be something going on with behemoths, making them more intelligent and malicious, caused by some sort of magical affliction, either naturally or artificially created. Or perhaps the islands start just falling, starting with the smaller ones and slowly moving up in size, and they have to figure out what is happening before all of civilization plummets to... whatever the hell is down there. Whatever it is, it's not good to slam into at terminal velocity.
