So I'm looking to build an Iron Man/Dr. Doom character for my next game, not one or the other, but a sort of mix (though I'll admit i'm leaning a bit towards Doom given how OP he can be).
I'm looking for some suggestions on spells and managing the build. Starting at level 5. Here's what I've got so far:
3 Armorer Artificer/2 Warlock. Warlock is using Eldrich blast as the main long range attack (better than lighting launcher to mimic repulser blasts or whatever doom throws around) and the armorer artificer does great simulating the armor, giving me a high AC, and some good melee damage with the gauntlets (especially since Doom uses lighting/thunder a lot). Took the enhanced defense for more AC and Humunculous for a drone/doom bot.
Got a lot of good support spells mixed in so far to mimic their armor abilities and make me a threat in and out of combat like cure wounds and detect magic for either a HUD and advanced meds (nanobots son or just some magic skills if doom) along with Guidance, Thorn whip, Farie Fire and the like...
Now it's the next part that's throwing me off. I want to mix in Clockwork Soul sorcerer as I feel that would def allow me to mimic more of their abilities and get access to better spells like hold person without it being too late in the game, however, I can't tell if I should just go the rest of the way as Sorcerer or go further with artificer first. Any thoughts? Am I missing out on anything that good by not jumping to sorcerer and grabbing those spells sooner?
I've seen CCMC's guide on this for iron man and that's mainly why I'm asking as his build misses out on a lot of spells from sorcerer as it leans more towards Iron Man, but I don't know if that's a good thing or not.

Ok so Dr. Doom :
Artificer (Armourer) - 3 - Guardian -> armour suit that's neigh indestructable, and a powerful punch & electric shock, Thunderwave, Cure Wounds, Absorb Elements, Detect Magic, Humunculus (Doombot)
Warlock (Hexblade) - 3 -> Shield Spell, Eldritch Blast, Agonizing Blast, Repelling Blast, ability to effectively use swords, Witchbolt or Bane and Hex, Pact of the Chain (another Doombot), Shocking Grasp
Sorcerer (Clockwork Soul) - 8 -> ice storm, Dimension Door, Lightning Bolt, Summon Construct (another Doombot), Dispel Magic, Ray of Frost, Firebolt, .
Dr. Doom seems more conjuration & blast-y focused than support focused.
That will probably take you to the end of the campaign, if it doesn't take 1 more of Artificer and Warlock to pick up some more feats / ASIs
