Nope, the 2024 warlock kind of sucks. Their damage is worse than any weapon-using class, and they still have hardly any spellslots. 2024 Archfey just gets a bunch of teleportation which isn't very fey-ish and honestly isn't all that powerful considering how much movement based stuff is available in the game, it's not bad by any means but it isn't that great either. They still suffer from the poor spellcasting options on the Warlock spell list, and that their subclass spells don't upcast despite the whole thing of warlock being that they upcast all their spells automatically.
A Bard with the Fey Touched feat could teleport just as much as a Fey-lock after 5th level (in addition to their special BI that lets the whole party move not just you) and also gets tons more good options they can do instead of just teleporting because their spell list baller in comparison, Hideous Laughter, Command, Mind Whip, Hypnotic Pattern, etc... and eventually Magical Secrets lets you pick up all the best spells in the whole game. You can make a decent utility-based fey character with Fey-lock if you pick up Mask of Many Faces and Misty Visions, but in terms of combat they are pretty weak.

What about taking the 1 level fighter dip? Does that help to remedy the problem, is that not enough, or does that not count at fey enough to you?
If you take a 1 level fighter dip, then you can be a decent Archer using Pact of the Blade. Your AC won't be great, but ArchFey gives you lots of ways to escape danger so I don't think that's too much of a problem. The question then is simply whether an arcane-archer character fulfills the desired fantasy of a Fey character for you?
I didn’t think you could make a charisma bow anymore. Sounds pretty MAD. Why not go for a melee type with this build? My main currently that I have yet to use is a Fighter 1/ Celestial Warlock 19 that I’ve gotten a lot of input on, but never heard of going archery. Do the subclasses really play that differently?
Oh that's true, the new Pact of the Blade is limited to melee weapons and the Improved Pact Weapon invocation hasn't been ported over to 2024. I forgot about that. So you probably want to go for a Heavy Weapon + Great Weapon Master, and you'll need to take 15 Strength and use heavy armour from Fighter then. Which I don't know, doesn't seem all that fey-like to me. You could go sword & board with a rapier + Defensive Duelist, that will makes you a decent tank character but your damage will be on the low side.
Bards are full spellcasters, their job isn't dealing single-target damage. They are battlefield controllers and support/buffers and they are very very good at it.
Warlocks are closer to half-casters due to their limited number of spellslots, so they need a reliable unlimited damage option. In 2014, Eldritch Blast + Agonizing Blast + Hex was just as good as a bow or sword in many cases. But in 2024 weapons and martial classes got significant buffs whereas EB/AB/Hex stayed the same.
Agreed. Not to hijack the form, but i personally went sword and board, only because of my Searing Vengeance ability i maximized my con as well as my cha instead of taking feats in order to revive with higher hit points. Of course, now I can use this ability on someone else with a better hit points maximum, so I’m on the fence about changing it.

I want to make a fey-wild themed character from one of the updated 2024 subclasses? Which one is the best fit?
Glamour Bard.
Not Archfey warlock?

Aren't bards also poor in combat?
