First time I have ever done a spell poll. What is your favorite spell from UA: Draconic Options?
My favorite spell is Nathair's Mischief. It is the perfect Bard spell and I love the random effects that happen if you cast it. What's funnier than making your enemies giggle uncontrollably or spraying water in their faces from flowers?
I'm gonna go with Flame Stride over Psychic Spear, though ultimately, I'm highly unimpressed.
I WANT to like Psychic Spear, I REALLY want to. There's a lot going for it. Huge damage, amazing single target CC, the ability to just kinda free cast it if there's a particular noble you hate but don't know if they're gonna be close (Might as well try firing it off, just in case, maybe they'll be close enough... This time...)
But it's the ULTIMATE gamble. The EPITOME of save or suck. If they make their saving throw, it does NOTHING, not even half damage! It's utility is based solely on if the target fails its save, and at that level, for wizards, what other spells do you get? Polymorph, Banishment, Resilient sphere, heck, even watery sphere for pure control. On the damage end, you get... A Plethora of spells, Wall of fire, Storm sphere, Vitriolic sphere, Blight. These are just for Wizards, though. I know bards get a few of the cool control spells at this level. It could be good for sorcerers (great candidate for twinned or quickened spell) and maybe warlocks (though missing with a warlock spell slot feels really bad, but those come back on a short rest at least). All in all, I'm just not sure the gamble is worth it when you have higher payoff gambles, or guaranteed damage
Flame Stride is just fun, flavor-wise. it's kinda a "get out of jail free" card, and can do wonders against a crowd of low level minions. Up cast it to 4th level, and do a guarenteed 2d6 damage to each target you pass, and move at +25spd, on a bonus action, so you can move, and dash, all without provoking OA, doing damage, and repositioning to a safer spot. If you have a DM that's kind enough to allow you to play a race with a built in fly speed, the bonus to your movement speed applies. But just the thought of the caster just running around the battlefield, his feet on fire, leaving a huge wake of flame behind him, bouncing between enemies... It's kinda silly.

RPL is pretty broken, but I like the idea of it.
I have a weird sense of humor.
I also make maps.(That's a link)
I am disappointed that my dragonborn paladin won't have access to flame stride, as it would rock

Artis (especially Battlesmith and Armorer) and Rangers are going to love Flame Stride.
Platinum Shield looks really nice. Though I feel like it would be difficult to obtain the plated dragon scale in order to cast it.
