One of my players (the Warlock) want to add a new invocations to the game. He is calling it
Extra Pact
When you take this invocations you gain 1 more spell slot. (3 at 2nd, 4 at 11, and 5 at 17. Total spells per short rest)
I am thinking about allowing this into the game and want to see what you all though about it since he is in effect trading a invocations for more spell on each short rest. I want to know what you all think about it.
I feel like this would be decently balanced within the first few levels, but later on, because warlocks regain spell slots at a short rest that would be incredibly unbalanced. Especially if there would be a sorlock with that Homebrew invocation that would take over the game.
It’s truly the DMs decision. If you want it, I’d just be cautious of that. Catnap spam is already annoying with warlocks, and with an extra spell slot it’d be just that much more annoying.
