We have a new minor update coming out to both Android and iOS. If you haven't already seen the app, check it out in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
One of the most exciting features in this update is the Content Sharing feature from the website being respected in-app. So compendium content shared with you from one of your campaigns on the website will now be usable within the app. This feature will be supported going forward with future major updates, such as listings (spells, monsters, items, etc) and character management.
See the change log for your specific platform below:
Android
- Content Sharing via an active campaign is now respected in-app.
- New Experimental Setting: "Use SD Card Storage", this will move all your installed books onto your SD Card and future downloads will place them in this location. When toggling this setting, content will be moved to it's new location. This setting only appears if an SD Card is present.
- New Setting: "Large Downloads require WiFi", this setting prevents the app from downloading the books when a WiFi connection is not present.
- Bookmarks can now be edited and rearranged via a long press. Editing allows renaming and moving the bookmark into a folder.
- Images can be directly bookmarked via the Image Viewer screen.
- Improved app startup time and the app will no longer prompt for permission during startup; instead, it will only prompt for permission(s) when it is necessary.
- Settings are now accessible via the Login screen for users that are not logged into an account.
- Fixed a bug where app would not properly start without an internet connection in some scenarios.
- Fixed misc. bugs and various UI tweaks
iOS
- Restore Purchase button added to the My Account screen

A lot of these features and bug fixes were thanks to the very active community we have here. Be sure to leave your feedback and bug reports on our forums and if you have any feedback directed at this version in particular, feel free to comment below.
Any ETA on when we can access our character sheets on the app?
And also, is there an ETA on when we can add extra feats to a character as a reward, not just on the ASI/feats increase?
Awsome work so far! Love to have the books in an App easily available :-D
Do we have any word as to when the app will be complete, as far as seeing characters and things of that nature?
So the app doesn't let you look at any characters. It's only for carrying your books. That's handy, but will it ever have a character sheet?
It will. It's still in Beta. Step 1 was getting the compendiums up and functional. Eventually the app should be able to do nearly everything the website does.
When D&D Beyond first came out I wasn't a huge fan because it shut down a lot of other services that let me do a lot of things I still can't do here - at the time mostly this was "homebrew anything", right now it's specifically classes. But you guys have been winning me over in a lot of ways by showing that you know what people want and are working to deliver it. Homebrew content, playtest content, this app, it's all moving in a direction that makes me very happy as a player and a customer. When I first spent money on D&D Beyond content I was super embarrassed because of how outspoken I'd been against the product when it first came out, but now I actually feel as good about it as I do buying the physical books in the store and that's really cool. I wish other game systems had digital infrastructure like this. You guys are doing a great job and I can't wait to see what's next for this app.
Don't answer this if you can't or don't want to... is there any chance that we'll see character sheet synchronization between the app and the website?
(Loving the updates, you guys do great work)
I love having it digital for when I forget my books on game night. But when will you guys add in character management? I use it in the web browser, but it would be nice not to have to worry about closing out that page or pressing back button or reload button.
So how much longer till character management is added in?
Combat management would be nice too.
