July 10th, 2018
Greetings D&D-er's!
After a few days of catching our breaths over the July 4th holiday week, we're back at it! This change-log covers multiple changes and bug fixes that have been deployed over the past few days:
Changes:
Condition descriptions are now available in the character sheet side bar (and there'll be another update soon for managing the levels of exhaustion).
Update to the login system. We have finally been able to make an update to the login mechanism that provides two main benefits. One, being able to select a different Twitch account to log in with, and two, removing the requirement for having third-party cookies enabled. Now, when you log in, you'll be sent to this login page:
The process now uses Twitch's Passport system, and as such you will be redirected to their page to confirm access:
On this page, there is a "Not You" link that you can click to login in with a different Twitch account, and then will be redirected back to D&D Beyond.
Fixes:
- Fixed a bug in copying homebrew spells with additional levels not properly copying modifier information
- Fixed views for subclasses and races to account for soft-deleted features and racial traits.
- Fix issue with viewing spell details in the character sheet for ritual spells
And we've got another round of UI updates coming this week for the character sheet, so stay tuned!
Happy dragon slaying!
I personally don’t care about the number of spells listed. I do like being able to see at a glance what all my spells do and what they do at higher levels.
What I can get behind is a toggle that would let you switch between “all spells at all levels” or “all spells at spell level”. I believe this would be an agreeable compromise?
It's not juust about the amount of spells I can see, it's that most of it js just repetition. At the 4th level slot, I have two copies of magic missile. Most of my first level spells are repeated three times. Magic missile is in fact repeated a total of 13 times. There are 37 entries out of 51 that are just a second/third/seventh copy of another entry.
Well, you do have two sources of MM, and they should be tracked separately .
...but that should mean 2 entries, not 14, cause I don't have 14 sources.
Does this mean it is possible to soft-delete a core feature of a class as part of a subclass?
So for example if I want Rogue sub-class that doesn't get Evasion at level 7 can this be done?
