I'm happy to share that the D&D Beyond mobile app has now entered the beta phase and is available to the public in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
For the initial beta release, we have focused on eReader access for all of your Compendium content. Other parts of the DDB toolset - such as the spells, magic items, and monsters listings, homebrew creation, or the character builder/ sheet - will be added in later phases of the beta. We'll share more about those elements when we have updates.
Just as with the website beta period, the Compendium forms the backbone of everything that comes after it, so we're taking a similar approach for the mobile app. We truly appreciate your help during beta testing to polish the app further and prepare for the future phases.
For now, enjoy the freedom of having your D&D digital library available anytime, anywhere!
Note: If you participated in the alpha, we highly recommend that you uninstall/ delete the alpha version of the app and use a fresh beta install!
App Description:
Access all of your Dungeons & Dragons content anywhere you go with the D&D Beyond reader.
- D&D products. Browse, unlock, and read the entire Dungeons & Dragons fifth edition library.
- Offline access. Never miss your books, even in areas without wifi coverage.
- Bookmarks and Search. Find the rules you need when you need them!
- Display options. Read as you like in book, clean, or night modes.
Could we get links to the app in each store please?
Does this support shared content yet now that it's beta, or is that down the line?
Hi, is it available in Canada yet? Or just US?
Tales from the Yawning Portal is not showing up for me. I purchased it
Well check the APP STORE and you will have an answer
I’ve run into an issue. I was using the alpha on both my iPhone and iPad, and I’m now being told I have exceeded the maximum number of logged in devices. Please advise.
Edit: just go to settings, mobile devices, delete the phones you are redownloading on. There should be a functionality to realize that you have reinstalled the beta on a device previously authorized to run the alpha.
For anyone that has issues, please post them on the mobile beta bug and support forum.

I can't access my purchased stuff
Pah who needs the back of the box when the store clerk is the sexy team of D&D beyond
Smart to get offline compendium access out there asap. I think that's a big blocker for many people coming from physical copies (or deciding on an entry point). Also it looks really really good! Its quality justifies the lack of other features.
btw I'm seeing 158mb storage used after downloading just the Basic Rules. Looks like it's just under 80mb after clearing local data (no compendiums downloaded). I think it'd be nice to expose that info in the GUI. I'd like to know how much storage I'm committing to when I click to download it.
Excellent! This is Danny (Cucumber) from Perception Check on Twitch. Your site has been SO INCREDIBLY HELPFUL for when we bring in guests and prep them for the show. We can make a character for them in a matter of minutes instead of hours and it keeps our production flowing smoothly with looking up spell stats effortlessly without leaving the monster/character sheet pages.
This app will help things flow even more smoothly (especially once the Character features are uploaded). Looking forward to incorporating it more!
Any plans to also make a version of the app for the Kindle Fire store?
I'm assuming the character builder/sheet functionality will roll out when the new sheet rolls out on the actual website.
I noticed it has book specific searches. For instance I can search just the players handbook when I open it.
Are there plans to add that to the normal site?
I am loving it! Thanks :-)
I completely forgot this was in the alpha phase. Good work on improving the site.
They are in the first line of the post.

How much longer will you have the manifest .json download? It makes it really hard to use the app offline.
I can't seem to make the app work on a Moto G2. I'm stuck on the loading screen for more than an hour, waiting the app to work. Hopefully I can make it work, because I love this platform and the work you guys have been putting on it.
Will it ever come to the amazon app store? And only 6/7 modules from the Yawning Portal are in there, The Forge of Fury is missing in case anyone sees this and wants to fix that.
