The next phase of our mobile app beta - Compendium Listings - is now available!
This update adds the Spells, Magic Items, Equipment, Monsters, Races, Classes, Background and Feats sections that you know from the website to the mobile app with offline functionality. Bookmark any listing to access it quickly in the future and the Compendium content in the eReader section is now updated to include links to listings, similar to how the Compendium appears on the website.
To access, simply update your app through the Google Play Store or, on iOS, click the link to opt into the Listings Alpha (TestFlight App required), then update any/all sources within the app to obtain their listings data. You will find these new sections in the Navigation Menu (Android) or in the More Menu (iOS).
Be sure to post any feedback or bugs to our forums or contact us directly at support@dndbeyond.com if you need any assistance.
Sweet! Looking forward to increased App usage! Keep it up, guys. Dndbeyond rocks my world.
Fantastic update! This is a great one for DMs. Really, really looking forward to characters being in this app.
How do we get access this via iOS?
Would love to use this on my kindle......
What link do we click
The link is kind of hard to see up there. Here it is again just in case.

The one major addition I would like to see to the mobile app is offline characters. Perhaps just download the metadata for a character and allow it to be displayed on the mobile device using the same HTML as the website. No need to allow character advancement in the app initially, but it would be really swell to have your characters in the app as opposed to a mobile web browser.
Native or eReader?
It works okish with the normal Google Play app.
Awesome more stuff in the app is greatly appreciated! Will start playing around with this.
This has been planned to hit the beta at some point from the beginning. We spent a great amount of effort getting the digital sheet into its current form, and we were not going to add it to the app until that finished. Rest assured it is a priority and we'll have more to share as we can.
Thanks!
Thanks!
This is cool!
How can I get updates on articles here? Why isn't it showing up on the main page (I check that every day)?
Is it just me or are the elemental evil player companion spells missing? Is this intentional?
It’s brilliant.
Couple of bugs Ive spotted.
1) The CR filter on monsters doesnt work. It just finds monsters of the Min CR and Max CR, so if you put in a range of 1 - 10 it just returns the CR1 creatures and the CR 10 creatures, but none of the 2-9 creatures.
2) Some of the spells have years(?) after their level, so for example Dragon Breath is listed as ‘2nd Level 2002’.
Also, and I know this is a first iteration, any chance we could squeeze more icons onto the bottom bar. On an iPad in landscape mode there is a lot of unused space. For use on an iPhone I would happily accept a double depth bar to get some extra icons on there.
This is not intentional and we will be addressing this issue.
We are aware the Spells section in iOS is misbehaving (some of the time) and will be addressing that along with the CR filter in Monsters. Great feedback! We will also look into allowing more menu items on the bottom bar depending on the device's screen size. :)
Change logs are not posted to the front page. You can find the Changelog at the bottom of the website under Quick Links (Ctrl F "Changelog")
First of all, I love this! Managing a TV tabletop, DDB, and Kobold Fight Club, and any other apps I may be running all on my laptop gets a little bit cumbersome (still miles ahead of the old fashioned way, so I'm not complaining), but now I can go ahead and bookmark and sort all of the monster statblocks I'll need and reference those exclusively on my phone to help with the digital clutter. I'll also probably do folders for each of the PCs in my game so I have a faster reference for their spell and abilities than pulling up their entire sheet.
The only thing I've noticed that might mess with my flow is that I'm a habitual back button user and it feels natural for me to use it to go back within the app. This works in the Compendium, but in the Listing, hitting Back exits the whole app. Maybe this is because there's no "Listings" home screen like there is with compendiums, so there's nowhere to go back to. At least for me, it feels more natural when I'm done looking at Spells to hit Back and then go to Monsters even if it may be easier to jump straight to it from the hamburger menu. Maybe I'm alone here and it's just something I need to get used to, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to bring it up.
Lastly, a question. Will my bookmarks transfer to a different device or will I need to set them up on each one? For example, if I set up bookmarks to prep for an encounter on my phone during some downtime, but I use a different tablet when running the game, will my bookmarks be there?
I found RSS for both the changelog and the main page but it took some digging.
Will there ever be any character sheet functionality for this mobile app? What if I want to build a character on the app or play the game with my character sheet in front of me on my tablet? I mean I COULD use the website, but it would be nice if it was a one stop shop type of app. I don't like having my stuff spread out.
