Greetings Everyone!
We're happy to announce the Digital Dice Alpha is now live on the Character Sheet for subscribers only.
These digital dice will help you reduce the math you have to do when playing D&D. We encourage everyone to give them a roll and tell us how they feel!
If you'd like to turn off Dice rolling on the character sheet for any reason, you can click on your character dropdown and toggle the Digital Dice off.
As a thank you, you will also receive a free set of Old School dice that celebrates our roots. You can activate them by going to the My Dice page under "Collections" on the top nav.
If you'd like to learn more about how to use the dice or to give us feedback, visit our Digital Dice Feedback Forum.
Thanks all. Happy rolling!

Huh. Working like a charm for me.

Really cool feature. For all those saying the 'My Dice' page won't load, I had the same issue at first but it's since loaded, so I imagine yours will do the same in a bit. I also appreciate you guys giving out custom dice to subs. The calculations seem really handy for when you don't have dice on you or just want to test a character concept or something, which I love doing so this addition makes it even better. The style of the calculations also looks pretty nice. The blue boxes are a bit ugly but I imagine that's only temporary. The only real issue I've found is with spells/features like Toll the Dead, where the only option is rolling d8s and not d12s, but obviously you can just select d12s in the bottom so even that is a very minor complaint. Overall just a really cool additions :)
The old school dice are really cool. Love the color change for damage dice but I can't figure out what the colors mean.
EDIT Figured it out
It's color coded by the dice type not damage type.
The only comment I have on Virtual Dice so far is that the system should know, per your sheet whether you have Advantage or Disadvantage. And if so it should roll twice for you with one click. Then display the two values, crossing out the value that is not being used. This wont fully solve Advantage vs Disadvantage. But it would be a decent start to that.
are you looking to make an option to roll hit and damage at the same time? this would be a great feature
After rolling on a mobile browser the d4 is inaccessible until previous rolls are cleared.
Not seeing any way yet to roll Sneak Attack dice for Rogues.
I had this problem with magic missile
Concerning Rogue and Reliable Talent, at a glance it does not seem to take into account but perhaps I was just missing it when clicking on Stealth.
Can anyone confirm if the dice roll isn't taking that into account or if I am just personally missing something.
It's an almost entirely useless gimmick without being integrated with, at least, the combat tracker and shareable to the players in my campaigns.
I think some of the class features haven't been integrated yet.
For instance, my alchemist has Alchemical Savant which adds +5 to his healing and damage rolls that do fire, poison, acid damage. The roller just doesn't account for that yet.
I'm guessing that a lot of this will come with time.
Thank you for the quick reply.
Far from it. This still allows you to roll exactly what you need, incredibly handy if you don't want to mess with taking your dice out, don't have them, don't want to do the math, etc. There's a lot of improvements that can be made still but I'm loving this initial implementation.
I like that a lot, can wait to see where it will go in the future.
Are there plans to link this function with the Avrae bot for Discord?
I think that would be amazing. There are just some actions and rolls that are difficult to do in Avrae; using this tool on there would be great.
(or are there plans to buying out Avrae and making it a DnD Beyond tool?)
EDITED: TYPO
This is a nice feature and looks good - but is it possible tot have a global switch to turn it off? I don't intend to use it because we use own dice even playing online, and it would be nice to have a way to globally turn it off.
Don't get me wrong, it looks like a very good addition, I just personally don't find it useful for me.
Advantage and disadvantage can come from several sources not written on your sheet (e.g. attacking from stealth; attacking an invisible enemy), often cancelling the advantage/disadvantage you have; and some of the advantages/disadvantages on the sheet are situational (e.g. Gnome cunning). Instead of having a complicated system and bells and whistles that cares for this, it's way simpler and faster to just roll twice and decide which value was higher or lower - I think that simple comparison can be expected from the users of this site.
Great that this is here / coming - but currently it's eating up all the CPU power on my laptop if I roll a die. I have a monster of a PC at home so I'll try it there but for laptop-aided sessions it's too slow to use. Hopefully soon there will also be a non-animated way!
This is pretty sweet folks!
Very nice, but the 3D dice animation is really a bit redundant. It would be nice to have the option to just do the RNG and show the results. My only gripe is that the size of the buttons on the skills list makes the list too long for the page and necessitates scrolling it up and down.
Also, my group currently use a browser plugin, Beyond20, to integrate the D&DBeyond character sheet and monster stat blocks with the Roll20 VTT for dice rolls. Do you have any plans to do this sort of thing directly yourselves?
