ok... so this would take time, and takes some “rule of cool” to function I’m sure, but if there’s better choices, let me know.
you want the Otherworldly Leap invocation to cast Jump at will. Probably want around 15 Strength. Your jumping is now pretty potent. Multi class to rogue for cunning action to dash and increase your movement speed enough to make your jumps reach hella far.
Now add a lance. Swashbuckler’s Evasive Footwork so you can back up a little right after.
Expertise with Athletics and Acrobatics. I figure you just “rule of cool” the damage, and add sneak attack to the damage if you make an athletics check, and take half that sneak Attack yourself if you fail an acrobatics check.
i figure 14 hexblade 6 swashbuckler, for a nice round character build. Other options work, like an Eldritch Knight, but this is what I did. Thoughts? Suggestions?
You could take three levels in Barbarian and and take the totem Warrior archetype and pick tiger (It makes your jump better while you are raging) and then take the Athlete Feat.
I made a dragoon, kain from final fantasy. barbarian totem warrior. I reskinned the totem choices to be draconic themed. scales of the dragon (bear) stealth of the serpent (wolf) and wings of the wyrm (eagle) and the level 14 totemic atonement is a perfect "jump" attack. you don't have to model after a dragon but it worked for what I was trying to do, a tribe of barbarians that revere dragons and mimic their ways. my guy uses a pike or javelins.

Jesus Saves!... Everyone else takes damage.
That’s actually pretty cool. I love re-flavoring stuff

You're right, the Eagle flight ability, is way better than the tiger jump.
Gonna have to save these ideas for later. Dragoons were always my favorite Final Fantasy class.
