Would sure be nice to print out magic items to pass out to players. Especially being able to print out any homebrew items when that beta opens up.
Would also be nice for any other items, spell cards, and maybe even have monsters printed out.
I'm thinking to be able to add any number of items to a queue, and then print them out in a 3 x 3 sheet in the same size as a playing card.
Similarly, I hope that any character sheets will print out spells like this, would be like the 4e character builder how it would list all the spells/abilities on a sheet.

Be careful what you Wish for... your DM may just give it to you!
I think this is a great idea - although I would add that 'handing out' the item would also include a virtual version if players are all managing the characters and game via D&D Beyond. This would also include DM notes - such as "don't tell the others, but the villain is talking telepathically to you directly and wants help..." etc.
Printing all sorts of things has been also discussed throughout the megathread for the character creation wishlist as it is full of campaign manager wishes too.
I do have a question though - what do you expect to see on an 'unidentified' magic item printout card and how are you wanting to use it in your gaming?
I don't think I've seen this idea in all the chatter of printing things elsewhere. :)

At a minimum, I'd want an unidentified item to only show the basic, non-magical equivalent. For example, a Flametongue, unidentified, would only print out the info pertinent to a mundane longsword. Similarly, if you created a custom magic item, that in that creation process, you assign it a base mundane item that it links to (i.e. if you create a custom magic Spear of Destiny! that it is based on a regular spear). See Fantasy Grounds for a basic example of this.
Ideally, what I imagine is that there could be check boxes next to each field of information, so that the DM can reveal any specific piece of information they want. So, if you run a game where players have to put some work into identifying a magic item, then you can release only those properties that they've figured out. Or, maybe you create a magic item that has different properties based on who wields it (i.e. a Cloak of Elvenkind that, when worn by an actual Elf, has additional properties that are not available if a Human wears it).
Lastly, I hope that whatever the item is (magical or nonmagical) that the DM could enter flavor text or any other information they want. An example would be to add a brief backstory to that otherwise bland Dagger +1. If you had multiple fields to unlock, then you could also unlock the story sequentially. Maybe the dagger is recognized by someone as having belonged to a famous assassin do you unlock that part, then later on a sage identifies it as having been responsible for killing an ancient king in a far off land and so it has a specific name "Kingsbane".
I've thought even more about this, some other requests/suggestions:
1. Be able to print front and back. This shouldn't be hard to have it formatted such that the front and back line up. Even if you have multiple per sheet.
2. Different options for what is on the "front" and the "back". Examples: Have a standard "card back". Or have key brief information that prints on one side (i.e. stats) and then information on the other side. Or, allow the DM to choose what is on one side versus the other (see my idea above about choosing what is printed in the first place).
3. If there is a stock image for an item, be able to print that on the card. Also, if there is a page number to reference the original information.
4. I haven't decided what I think would work best for the actual size of the "card". A standard playing card size would be cool, especially if able to add info on front and back because of the lesser size. Otherwise, be able to print to various sized index card or paper sources: 3x5, 4x6, full 11x7, that A4 thing that the people across the pond use, etc.
5. Whatever format you allow, would be nice to export to DOCX or PDF so that you can use Word or Acrobat to print onto actual 3x5 or 4x6 cards with templates (see those Avery products that have cards that tear out). --- otherwise what I just did the last time was print out in the size I want on card stock and then use a guillotine to cut them to size.
6. If you do a playing card size, be sure to make them standard so that the OCD of us can slide them into sleeves. I assume that the MtG guys at WoTC know exactly how to help with that!
Nicely detailed to give the devs something to chew on. It's thought out ideas that help them see what we are thinking for sure.
And I like your signature, DrGerm, because as a DM some time ago I really had fun with what was wished ICly and what the players wanted OOCly. DMs can have fun really giving the players what they thought they wanted and have fun with the not so clear and concise choice of words. ;)

Let me add to my idea, the ability to print out an "identified" and an "unidentified" version for magic items.

yes.. i was thinking the same thing as well.. I was thinking that it would be great - would be most helpful :)

Where are we at on this topic? I came here looking for the availability to print my spell cards that my character has available.
