There seems to be some consensus that the character sheet just has too much info on it (which would be somewhat frustrating for new players). Maybe have the option of a condensed version with just the basic and necessary info (much like the 5e sheets), but customization as to what sections you want on your condensed sheet. Then of course an easy option/button to expand the sheet to more detailed info.
It would be nice to have a character sheet where I could see all my necessary info without scrolling or expanding. Just a thought for down the road. Again, really excellent work all round!
If I could add one little feature to HP calculation, it'd be this: calculate HP normally, but then apply [insert modifier here]. Like, if you're doing a campaign where, to increase survivability, the DM gives you some bonus pool of HP on top of what you're normally entitled to, it would be nice to be able to enter that as a one-and-done thing. (eg "character has normal HP +10," or "character has normal HP +2/level")
Not something I'd consider major, either by its presence or absence, just sort of "would be neat if..." level suggestions.
Suggestion: on the race selection list, list the racial stat bonus and titles of the features. This allows for easier comparison. I really love that each race and subrace have their own display rather than hiding subraces under the parent race!
1. For Dagger, it only lists info regarding it's use for a main hand melee weapon. You should also be listing info for using a dagger as an offhand melee weapon and also info for using it as a ranged (thrown) weapon. And, I assume that for finesse weapons you are automatically choosing whichever bonus is higher? (between Strength and Dexterity). But for the thrown property, I believe it would be the Dexterity bonus regardless.
2. For either Javelin. Same thing. It only lists information for using as a melee weapon. No ranged (thrown) information.
3. For all three potential ranged weapons (Dagger, Javelin, Longbow), none list any information about the ranges. And.. I think this would be a great place to put a tooltip, or something to remind a player what those ranges mean (i.e. disadvantage at long range).
4. Because it's still annoying: I'll refer to my prior posts regarding how you really need to change the way these boxes display information and not requiring the user to click a time or two and possibly scroll, just to see the info you need.
When I try to create a character it says all my slots are full. When I try to delete the characters (never actually made it past the name phase before crashing) I get a Internal server error 500 message. I have been trying to create a character since launch & it seems to be working for others. ?
With regards to the final character sheet view, I also have a couple bits of feedback:
Far, far too many fold downs on the character sheet. In order to see my darkvision range, I need to find racial traits in features, open it, find darkvision, open it, then read the entire paragraph. Please replace all of the at "darkvision, 60 ft." -- just like a monster stat block
Given the current layout, it's tough to parse the difference between skill and ability bonuses. It's not common, but a DM could ask for Strength (Intimidation) or Dexterity (Athletics), and those would require some gross mental math (Value - CHA + STR).
I would suggest that instead of an "export for print" button, just use a CSS print stylesheet. If you can't format the screen stylesheet for print, then it's probably a smell that the screen one has too much information / UI.
Could I suggest an option where you get to choose the standard staring equipment without having to go through the full purchase process? Just get the a b copies like in the players handbook?
No clue if this has been mentioned, but if I hit "Short Rest" as an Elf, I don't get the benefits of a long rest even though elves only trance for 4 hours

The elf feature Trance, by official rule, does not grant the elf the benefit of a long rest. The elf trance allows the elf during a long rest to meditate for 4 hours and to do light activities for other 4 hours. By the way, a short rest is 1 hour.

Did a random character generation and found a conflict with prerequisites. It made a high elf, but gave it the feat Sviefneblin Magic, which has Prerequisite: Gnome (deep gnome).
can't seem to find mundane armors. Anyone else having these problems?
Do you mean like chain mail? In the Equipment box, I clicked "Manage Equipment" and type "chain" and then you have to scroll through the magic versions and find it toward the end. Worked for "splint" and "plate".

a technical thing i would like to point out is how much of a hastle it is to go back on forth between background profiencies or race profiency and class while they are not together. You want to check what you place in one place and the other to not accidently place it twice, it never shows it. Why not have the part where you put proficiency together or atleast have a small "tick" next to ones that are already known.

1) filter in the equipment buying section to show only mundane items. Actually other filters would be nice as well. Stopped down version of compendium filters maybe?
2) it would be nice if choosing spells was flagged as something that needs to be done during character creation. My less experienced players might miss that, since it's a couple clicks down in the hierarchy
Animal Handling proficiency keeps cropping up in weird places that it shouldn’t. I just made a stout halfling monk 1 with an acolyte background. I didn’t select Animal Handling as a proficiency, yet there it is. Strangely, it’s not listed in the Proficiencies panel of the Features box.
There needs to be some way to keep tabs on ammunition. I bought eight darts for my halfling monk. There’s no way of telling on the digital sheet that I have more than one.
I don’t understand the difference between equipping and carrying. I can equip all the equipment I want, even if it’s nonsensical (For example, I can equip multiple kinds of clothes.) Why not do away with the distinction and just make everything purchased equipped by default?
No need to have the plus sign next to the Passive Perception score on the banner at the top of the digital sheet. Passive Perception is not a modifier or bonus; it’s a set value. Having that plus make it seem like it should be added to a die roll.
At 2nd level, the descriptions of my ki options are buried. You need go hunting for them, so they might be missed by newer players. Open Hand Technique, granted at 3rd level of monk, should be added to the Flurry of Blows feature, not listed separately.
Generally I don’t like how the monk’s ki features are separated into different dropdown menus (Flurry of Blows, Patient Defense, and Step of the Wind in one place, each of the others appearing on their own in other places). It’s very hard to get a feel for the entire list of options like that. They should be gathered in one place.

Sorry, these threads are getting long, I bet this has been brought up? but I don't see it so far.
A couple things I notice today that I'd want to point out, from the "Attacks" box.
I have experimented with adding the items two Daggers, Javelin, Javelin of Lightning, and Longbow.
What I notice is that:
1. For Dagger, it only lists info regarding it's use for a main hand melee weapon. You should also be listing info for using a dagger as an offhand melee weapon and also info for using it as a ranged (thrown) weapon. I don't see where the barbarian's damage bonus during a rage shows up on the character sheet.

And an elf still needs to rest for eight hours to get the benefits of a long rest even if they only need to spend four of it trancing, as per Jeremy Crawford:

@LukeS7 :
Short Rest is usually only 1 hour per PHB (p. 186), so Elves won't gain long rest benefits from a short rest.

I made a monk character. Here is my feedback:

So testing out the random character generator and it doesn't follow multiclassing rules. Example: Ranger 2/ Cleric 1/Fighter 2/Wizard 1
STR 14 DEX 11 CON 12
INT 11 WIS 3 CHA 9
Its all about having fun!
