When I level up the character doesn't get more nothing. And I can't level it down again.
If I set a character to level 20, a druid for example, it doesn't get more spells or hit points.
:(
After you set the character level, in the edit character screen go to classes then change the level of the class there (this also allows you to multiclass). You may need to also select spell and class features from this page before returning to the character sheet view.
Noticed that the character builder will calculate Ability Scores to go 20+ which is an issue, considering 20 should be the cap
20 isn't a hard cap. Magic items can boost stats in excess of 20, as can certain high level abilities.
Yes, but only by exceptions to the rule. The character builder allows you to break that rule with ASI's. I can show you my wizard with an Intelligence of 26 and no magical items if you like?

No, you can't, because characters can't be shared yet.

This is an amazing tool, I really look forward to seeing the polished product.
Some suggestions so far - It's possible to select a proficiency in a skill (from a class list) that you're already proficient in (due to a background), which would waste a skill slot. This can happen if you pick your background after your class. For example I rolled a cleric and took "religion" then later picked "Acolyte" which automatically gives the religion proficiency. It should have a warning to go and re-select a new class skill, ideally.
When I'm picking which cantrips to know, it would be nice if clicking on the cantrip would expand the description of it. As it is you have to pick your cantrips based on the names then go look at your character sheet to see what they do.
Another spell issue: I rolled a 3rd level cleric in the life domain (only domain available so far because beta) who should have a +6 to her healing spells, including cure light wounds. But in my character sheet the description of the spell only says "Heals 1d8" when it should be 1d8+6. Ideally, spells would have a live damage / healing number just like the melee attacks do. In the spell description it says to add the spellcasting ability modifier but it doesn't remind you to add the bonus from the life domain anywhere. It would be easy to forget it.
Thanks! I look forward to playing with an interactive sheet, it looks neat! And handy. And tidy. This is going to make keeping track of things so much easier with beginner groups, too.
Whilst it's absolutely necessary to have the character sheet tie everything together and automatically calculate bonuses etc, the more restrictions are put on what people can do with their characters, the more instances we have of people not being able to get their character working properly.
What if a DM's campaign has a God that has blessed a character with a stat greater than 20?
The paper character sheets don't prevent you from writing numbers greater than 20 in stat boxes either. ;)

I searched this thread, so I think I'm the first to catch this bug.
While wearing heavy armor, a "Dexterity Bonus" is applied if your dexterity modifier is negative. Dexterity should be ignored while wearing heavy armor.
My character has a Dex score of 8 (dex modifier of -1), and is wearing plate (+18 AC) and a shield (+2 AC). My character's AC should be listed at 20 AC, but it is shown as 19 AC.
Just a minor bug. Overall, I'm very impressed with the content available. Looking forward for what is to come. Great job devs!
Not sure if this issue has been addressed yet in this thread, but it would seem thread hat there is no function to level up? Or maybe it's just bugging out for me. I've tried three times to make a level 5 character (fighter, eldritch knight), however each time I add the experience through manual method it keeps him at the same HP, and there are no prompts for the ability scscore improvement or hp increase. I have also tried simply starting at level 5. Each time I've tried, it gives the character 12 hp based on initial 10+con, but no further.
If I am simply missing a prompt, I apologize for the inconvenience, but if I'm not, this sseems like a pretty big thing to be fixed, as guided level up is one of the main attractions of a digital/online character sheet, at least for me anyway.

After you change the character level with experience, you need to edit the character, go to the class tab/section and then apply the additional levels to your class (or add another class). On this Page there is also a Manage HP pop out modal.
Thank you for the advice. However that wasn't how I meant my feed back to read, my apologies. I didn't mean " I can't find how to change the class level" it was more " Having to hunt class level button was some what frustrating and it would be nice if there was a way to make it more obvious or to add a prompt to a persons first character over level 1 that points it out. "
In the current iteration I don't feel like the attributes on the character sheet read very well. Currently the ability scores are Dark Red for Str (#bf2225), Dark Grey for Dex (#41474d), Dark Brown for Con (#79614c), Orange for Int (#f96a3b), Silver for Wis (#879399), and Gold for Cha (#edb451).
There are two main problems I see here:
Con and Dex are so dark that from a normal viewing distance they both look black
Cha, Wis, and Int look like they are colored Gold, Silver, and Bronze respectively seemingly implying a hierarchy
Str being Red makes sense and doesn't really need to be changed. Con being Brown kinda makes sense but it really needs to be lighter. Dex on the other hand should probably be changed; I assume that Grey was chosen because its like soot for that stealthy feel but in my mind, and I assume many others, Dex has always been Green. Int being Orange though I don't get at all; I'd change it to be Purple since it's often a color associated with magic and mystery, which is perfect since it's the Spellcasting Ability for Wizards and the upcoming Mystic. Wis is traditionally associated with the color Blue but seeing as it's used by Monks and Rangers maybe shift closer to a Teal. As for Cha I don't have a color associated with it so Gold is fine I guess, it kinda works for Bards and Paladins but not so much for Warlock or Sorcerer.
Regardless of what color they; are being made bold would certainly help the colors be more obvious especially on desktop.
I made a side-by-side of the current colors and my suggestions in both Regular and Bold (typeface is Roboto Condensed same as the Character sheet
I want more flexibility when I create a PC, It's pretty OK for 1st level Characters and improve them as they are levelling up across one campaign. But if you what to start at 8 level for example to go through the White Plume's Mountain dungeon you need to prove things like be multi-class: add levels in a class and then remove one or two, in order to increase the same the other class, etc.
Example: I need to create a level 2 bard-paladin half elf bard called Alamira, so I pick race and take the paladin class because of the HP, but then I realize that i prefer to have more trained skills instead. Now I have to delete the old Alamira and create a new one whit Bard as fist class choose instead.
If I have to plan on paper my character fist, why to use D&D:B ?
I did but it doesn't work.
When I level up the character doesn't get more nothing. And I can't level it down again.

This character builder has yet to work for me. I have tried in vain to make a character and just keep getting error messages. :(
Not much of a bio other than I've been a player and a GM for many, many years. I'm always looking for new players to join me at my table.

I suppose I could have just written that instead.
Issue: Passive Perception scores should not have a "+" in front of them.
Bug: Magic Missile is not showing up in spell attacks.
Thanks as always!
