Seeing how most of the UA material you are probably talking about is going into the Xanthanar (spelling?) book... Existing UA probably will not be seen anytime soon or ever if its being converted to paid content (everyone download those UA pdfs now before they are deprecated.)
Excellent work so far. Missing many of the character backgrounds. Equipping a character could be much easier. Spells seem a bit odd but I think that is on me. Gotta export so I can share and print.
Thank You for your efforts. Look forward to the improvements.
Not sure if this has been mentioned but when Preparing Spells it would be nice if you could either hover over the spell for what it does or expand to show the spell. As a cleric there are so many spells and it'd be nice to know what the spell does without pulling up another tab to search for the spell then choosing to prepare it.
There is no support for custom backgrounds i.e. backgrounds with custom proficiencies in skills, languages, tools etc.
There is also no option to add new proficiencies learnt during down time.
Big issue... one that I am afraid they may not fix because if you can just homebrew your way around not buying content then who's going to buy content...
On an ipad mini, whentrying to search equipment it will bring up a list which disapears when you try to click something or scroll. If i dont not search but use the load more option at the bottem i can slowly..very, slowly, work my way down the entire list and add anything correctly.
I wouldnt mind seeing a feature for a dice roller connected to the interactive character sheet for attacks, saving throws, etc. also it would be fun to test out character design feature where you can make a custom character from the race, class, and background, to make it with preset templates like from the HeroMachine website design.
OK I don't know if I'm writing this in the right place or not but first of all I want to say I love D&D Beyond it's amazing. I noticed in character creation when trying to make a Ranger and you pick your favorite enemy as a humanoid you're supposed to be able to pick two races it'll only let you pick one. Also when you pick archery as you're fighting style it doesn't add the plus to attack bonus to your modifier on the players sheet and it doesn't allow you to adjust those numbers yourself. I'm also having a problem with my spells as a Ranger at level five the book says I should know 4 first level spells and 2 second level spells and it's only allowing me to know 4 spells in total.
missing expanded spell list spells on the character sheet (cannot add them either because of the maximum limit)
missing invocation spells on the character sheet (cannot add them either because of the maximum limit)
Also there should be some kind of automation when it comes to the pact weapon.
For the expanded list it just adds them as potential spells you can pick from, they arent automatically learnt. And which invocations are missing?
My bad on the expanded spell list, sorry about that. What I meant by the invocations is that mask of many faces (disguise self) and armor of shadows (mage armor) are not displayed as spells on the sheet when I choose them as invocations. But maybe thats by design rather than a flaw.
Looks great so far. If you could add more feats that'd be great. I'm only seeing the grappler feat
For the beta, only the rules and options provided in the D&D 5th edition SRD, D&D 5th edition Basic Rules, Elemental Evil Companion are available in Beyond. Once the full platform launches later this summer, the core rule books and others will be available for purchase, and the content within will be available for those that purchase, or have access through a DM's subscription.

Ahhh, I know that the Spells and Items section are still going through design changes, so I expect that eventually Invocations and Pact weapons will be applied - right now its the very first release, and as Badeye mentioned - the desktop view is brand new as well - lots of more stuff and improvements coming.

Thank you for your answers. The character builder is really good!
I didn't read the release notes, so it may very well be in there as the print function was. I would like to see a random generator for height, weight, hair color, etc.
Also, a filter on the equipment, maybe for rarity would make it ALOT easier to build a 1st level character at least.... and maybe a filter for weapons per type (martial, simple) and armor (medium, heavy, etc)
Just a thought... I really do love the builder though! Great job!
Problems calculating AC in the character builder ? Class features dealing with AC don't seem to affect the final AC when viewing the final product. I've seen this with the Defense Fighting Style not adding a +1 while wearing plate.

A 5th-level ranger knows four spells total (of first or second level), and has four 1st-level and two 2nd-level spell slots. Spell slots and spells known aren't the same thing.
Look at the table on P. 90 of the PHB, and read the Ranger's "Spellcasting" feature on p. 91-92.

Is there ant plans to add some of the missing background? For example : The Entertainer background from the PH.
