The reason is quite simple, and that's that the Feral Tiefling is just another variant of the Tiefling, and already the race page says this by adding the "Feral" variant option to the already "Feral" variant of the Tiefling
Yes, please. I've requested this before as well. It's very odd to have them as wholly separate races. I think their justification for it was that the system only, essentially, allows one variant to be added, and the SCAG variants break that because you can have a Feral and Winged tiefling, for instance.

"Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation."
They can't do that because the feral tiefling and variant tiefling and variant feral tiefling are in the SCAG and not SRD.
What they COULD and SHOULD have done is make the SCAG tieflings one race instead of 3. Could have been worse, they could have been 7 races, but it could have been better.

Are you sure? I mean, Deep Gnomes aren't in the SRD, and they're on the Gnome page.

Blood Frenzy. The quipper has advantage on melee attack rolls against any creature that doesn't have all its hit points.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 1 piercing damage.

Deep Gnomes are covered due to the Elemental Evil Players Companion thing as a free race along with other races from WotC.
The title is pretty much self explanatory.

Will this issue be ever updated, sooner or later? It feels weird to see two separate tiefling races, can we have any official answer to this matter?
+1

True... but what about elves? Eladrin and all that on the elf page.
