During the beta test of D&D Beyond, we'll only be including content that is freely available from Wizards of the Coast, including the D&D 5th edition SRD , D&D 5th edition Basic Rules, Elemental Evil Companion and potentially others. The beta will not include additional content from a Commercially Released Book, Module or Supplement.
The source books and adventure modules will be available for purchase when the beta ends and the site officially launches. The goal is for that to happen in about eight hours from now.
Wizard feedback: You learn and prepare spells before you set ability scores, so you can only prepare 1 spell which is probabably not correct. Also it doesn't tell you how many learned spells you start with when learning them. Spells really should be a separate step in the builder placed after ability scores somewhere.
Website is now live. I noticed basic rules feats (almost all of them) and backgrounds (several) are still missing.
D&D Beyond can be used for free and contains information from the following "free to use" sources published by Wizards of the Coast: D&D 5th edition SRD , D&D 5th edition Basic Rules and Elemental Evil Companion.Content from other sources (PHB, DMG, etc.) will need to be purchased from the Marketplace or accessed via a Master Tier Subscription.
So, a thing I noticed with a lot of character builders online (D&DB included) when it comes to warlocks.....the combat information can never seem to account for a Blade-Pact Warlock's ability to manifest a weapon and be proficient in it. It kinda throws off the math on the sheet since Warlocks are not really proficient in most martial weapons. Doubly so when they use their pact feature to turn a magical weapon into a pact weapon.
Could there be a way to have some sort of check-box next to weapons in the inventory to denote them as place-holders for various pact weapon forms the Warlock intends on using? That way the match works out correctly on the sheets. This feature probably wouldn't even be required across the whole builder, just popping up if the player has the correct Warlock type.

Hey guys, congratulations on the launch! Small thing, when I start with a Rogue and Multiclass to a Paladin, "Martial Weapons" does not show up as a proficiency. Shields and Medium Armor do show up however.

So even with a subscription evocation will be the only arcane tradition?
Any subscription will not give you extra content -- you need to purchase the sourcebook or the section of the sourcebook containing that info. The subscriptions do not give you any data, they enhance the toolset (allow more than 6 characters) and let you share the content you purchased (at the Master Tier) amongst other things.

The other traditions are part of the Player's Handbook - you can purchase that, or just the part you're interested in, to get access to those traditions.

I'm not seeing HitDice any where. It should be in the healing pop up, no?
Also, when adding to your abilities at level 4, please make the drop down menu on the usual order, NOT alphabetical.
I guess it's called the Status Pop-up. The one in the upper Right with the HP.
I found them right where you said they were. I was just surprised they were hidden 1 layer down.
No big deal now that I know. Thanks.
Mentioned this before (long time ago it feels like), but going to highlight it again.
Bard's Additional Magical Secrets are being treated as cantrips, rather than spells that expend spell slots.
eg. my bard picked Fireball, there is no Cast Spell button when I look at the spell

Sheet feedback: There doesn't seem to be a way to toggle Mage Armor. Auto enable on cast and auto disable on long rest?

When taking the Magic Initiate feat, its spells don't show up anywhere on the exported PDF.
Furthermore, the options to choose rituals gained by the Warlock invocation Book of ancient secrets seems to be completely missing.
I bought the Volo's races, but they do not seem to be showing up in the builder. Same for SCAG backgrounds and subclasses.
