Hard to say Homebrew and campaign is phase two so they will have to have some level of non SRD I think. but worse case we will see non SRD in phase 3 when the char builder is launched.

Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination. I will protect those who cannot protect themselves, I will protect even those I hate so long as it is right.
However, without an app and campaign tools for DMs it's not really providing much that isn't already available through any of the other services that offer this content via a web browser.
Personally, i prefer the physical books for most of my reference stuff at the table and i find BOOKS+STICKY NOTES to be easier to use than any of the currently available online tools.
For my players and myself, having a laptop at the table is both cumbersome and often disruptive.
I use the OneNote app on my ipad for all of my campaign planning though, and combine this with my reference books to effectively run my games.
The ipad is just smaller and "less noticeable" than a laptop.
I likewise thought that this was going to be a beta for an app, when I signed up over a month ago for the beta. This is, however, an amazing reference and works awesome, but would be a fantastic thing to have as an app!
The ability to open your spell lists at the table without having to pull out your computer, or your books.
The Ability, as a DM, to quickly reference a piece of liturature on Monsters or items just by pulling out your phone! This would be an awesome app!
However, you would still need the interwebs for part of it, in order to access the Forums! Forums for me, as both a DM and a casual player, have made a huge difference in both knowledge of the game and rules as well as creating a place where you can get some great Ideas!
Maybe one day they will put it in an app, but right now I think their main goal is going to be making sure that all of their content works correctly! Especially as a FREE resource that is not only open to those who signed up, but completely open to the public!

TLDR: iOS app with campaign tools please?...
Well this is just phase one, testing out the very basic functionality. The campaign tools are coming in phase three. They'll probably be more complicated, and will rely on the basic stuff like the monster db, so it makes sense to iron out any kinks in the basics, add any additional features, and only then bring in the more complex stuff that has more chance of going wrong.
In terms of an app, they have confirmed that it's coming, and then it'll clearly come with the campaign tools (which may or may not need a subscription). So you'll get what you want, just eventually rather than now. Not sure if they're testing the app as part of the main beta, or if that'll come later.
We do have plans for a mobile app that we have in the works. Offline is important!
Actually, I have a follow up question that a friend of mine mentioned as a good point, when this is all said & done.. is this going to end up being locked behind a pay wall? And will Beta Test Users still have access to the service once after release?
I apologize if this sounds as a kind of hostile question, but I think what with how certain organizations are with these kinds of things, people could be worried about other sites that host the same info for free right now like some of the DnD Wikis.
I can not comment on any of the pay methods or anything like that yet. But nothing that is currently up right now, will be behind a pay wall.

The website is certainly cool.

@tgehring You definitely have a good point, and it makes a lot of sense to release the functionality "tiers" in compounding phases.
Also, all of that being said, the mobile site is fantastic and i will definitely be giving it some table time at my game this week.
The database seems to be extremely well done and allows an AWESOME degree of flexibility when searching.
The search function is also super fast, and the data is well presented.
I love the way things are laid out in the 5e books and so far it feels like they've done a great job translating that into the site.
Im digging this so far!
