The export file you guys have for character creation. I find that the way it is setup does little to help the player when it comes to knowing their skills, and forces the player to have to open the book in order to verify anything they did not know. Furthermore, the exported sheet only gives the names of abilities, but does not even give the book or page number for the player to use for ease.
What i suggest is a sheet that breaks down things to Action, Bonus Action, and reaction abilities on the front page. (example for a fighter it would say Bonus Action: Second Wind) or (For a Monk it would say Reaction: Missile Snaring) Also include a secondary page that explains the abilities you get for your class. (Example 3rd level fighter would have Second Wind 1D10 +3, and Action Surge: Descriptive text for action surge) I find more people would use your character creator if it had these options. Most people would not want to bring their computer to the table and use that big dashboard. From my experience most people would like this information available on a sheet of paper.
The way things are setup as they are. I see no reason to use your character builder over a 3rd party automated character sheet. Those offer way more information and actually improves upon the lag times of the games.
There is supposedly a character sheet/builder update planned that will address a lot of these issues. You are most certainly not the first to point out how lacking the current itteration of the character sheet is, and are definitely welcome to wait with the rest of us, hoping the updated version is much better.

@tko552: I'll second the appreciation for taking the time to post polite, useful feedback. Yes, lots of people have indeed posted and complained about how bad the off export function is in their eyes, but most simply complain and stop there. You, on the other hand, offered useful examples of improvements you like to see. Suggestions for improvement. It's a nice change of pace around here, as sad as that is to say.
I think these are great suggestions. But what I'd really like to see is an exported sheet actually "print" on my printer. All it does now is print a blank sheet :)
I get a usable sheet other than the enhancements others want, just no information when it prints. I like having the sheets electronically but a couple of my players want to do paper sheets instead of a tablet or laptop. Guess we'll just have to transfer the sheets manually.

The exported PDF will print out - I've printed one on my own printer.
What application are you using to open and print the PDF file?
would love to see more spell detail on character exportable character sheets, at the momemnt they still feel incomplete. trying to run a oneshot for my baby sisters birthday and her friends so computers aren't really viable , having to use external sources with printable spell cards in addition as I don't want to have to walk them through every spell . There also aren't very many customisation options on the template, hoping these or even a variety of templates will be added in future

Thank you for the feedback - it's all useful to have.
The current PDF export is a standard D&D Character sheet PDF, so that it's possible to export to PDF.
The final version of this will have a significantly better designed export process. :)

Thank you for letting me know that. Sorry if that was something you have had to type and post a million times.
Not a problem, we're always happy when people provide useful feedback rather than assume someone already has. :)

I have never gotten that far because i never found it worth of printing.

I've tried both Chrome and Edge. I've tried printing from the browsers and from Adobe reader.
