Titles says it all.
I made a character but still my players are able to see it. I made it private, but, they can still see it's level, race, and class. And, I had to claim that character. Is there a way to make it just for my eyes ?
Thanks !
At this point in time, the primary purpose of a campaign on D&D Beyond is to share things.
If you are creating this NPC as a character, but controlled by you, don't add it to the campaign if you don't want the players to see it.

Unfortunately I do not own the books here, one of my players has them and shared with me. So, I don't believe I can create it... right ?
join the campaign, create the character then leave the campaign. You would just need to join again for changes to the character.
Josef is correct - it's perfectly acceptable to do that. :)
