The Master Tier subscription allows a subscriber to turn on content sharing for up to 3 campaigns in which she participates. Each campaign can have up to 12 participants (13 counting the DM). Turning content sharing on for a campaign means that any content unlocked by any participant (player or DM) within that campaign is available for all players and the DM for use. We originally announced that a DM has to unlock the content in order to share, but that is no longer the case - anyone in that campaign can unlock content and share it with the other people in that campaign as long as one person (doesn't have to be the DM) has a Master Tier subscription and has used it to toggle content sharing on for that campaign.
Is the quote above about sharing content from an official source? I looked through the thread but didn't see the original post.

Shhh...that's a little bit of leaked information. :)
There's a full post coming out with those details tomorrow. In the short term, I can confirm its veracity.

Wow, that is fantastic news. I think that is a much better deal and does not put all the burden on the DM. Sounds great.

It wouldn't put all the burden on the DM if it wasn't. Just say you're the DM and purchase everything, then hand your phone to the DM.
I said this in the main announcement thread, but I'll put it here too, in a more concise manner.
I own 5 of the books. I'm not buying them again, and asking me to do so is insulting.
It's even more insulting that even if I bought the $280 bundle, there'd still be ads on the site, though it is a good thing that there won't be ads on the compendium stuff you purchased. I do feel it should be site-wide.
It's cost-prohibitive for new players, and insulting to players who already own the books. I play with several people brand new to D&D, and they all bought their own physical PHBs. They don't have a clue that DNDB exists. What if they did, and realized they would've rather purchased it in a digital format? They'd either be stuck with the book, in a suboptimal format for them, or have to buy the book again.
If Curse found a way to reconcile physical purchases with DNDB for free or a much lower price (like $5 per book) I'd get them all and a sub. Right now, no. Not even close.

Dude. Enough already. We get it, you think you're getting screwed and aren't going to pay. Its time to stop spamming every thread about pricing and move on - the reasons for the pricing being what it is have been explained ad nauseum and aren't going to change.

Nobody is asking anybody to do something again and nobody is insulting anybody. If you don´t like the price for additional content, enter the content by yourself. You don´t even need a subscription to share your private homebrew.

This is a much more elegant solution, and if one person in the campaign has a book, everyone can access that information as long as one person has the $6 subscription. Yes, there were work arounds but I like this much better for me and my group. Love it, and my group as a whole will buy the books. It does not seem that bad to me spread out through the whole group.

This has really sold me and I'll be signing up for Master Tier and encouraging my group members to do so as well.
I was just curious if the "building a campaign" option is going to be coming with a map making software for large scale continent maps as well as small scale dungeon map making. That is my biggest want in a campaign making software at the moment. I can type stuff up on Microsoft word and hand it out, but Maps? That is what i need.
hey-----what does the actual campaign game table look like? Is it anything like Roll 20 or better?
Sorry I'm confused.... about the "campaign" fees associated with the Legendary Bundle and what you get in terms of tools? Like, is there audio or map search-ability like Roll 20?

There is no VT, this is simply a tool to help enhance play. So you have a character creator, the beginning of a campaign creator which will have more added to it. You also have a compendium for searching. The legendary bundle gets you access to all published WOTC material to date. So you get all the information in those books in the compendium and for use in the character builder.
Thanks, Josef.... I'm leaning toward the Legendary Bundle.... however, I'm still not seeing even a vision for what the "campaign creator" will be. In software development we see requirements or even a prototype if using agile methodology. I'm reluctant to drop 300.00... for what I already have, which is all the books. There isn't anything I don't have. I did participate in the alpha and the beta... yet I'm trying to think here, .... what do they mean by Campaign Creator.... Will it be like HeroLab where you can turn on and off content for players to see using their tablets? ... I want to decide before Legendary Founders Week.... I like all the quality.... I like the export feature--I tested that today for random Pc/NPC generator... and I do like the layout..... Three things I would like to see before I buy (if this is even possible):
> A more detailed requirements list of what the Campaign Creator will do? Not in terms of benefits, but in terms of features.
> A DungeonMasters Screen that can be generated by the user by calling APIs of the individual rule widgets and tables that would fit on-screen without scrolling with everything hyperlinked for more detail if desired
> A Display Drop-Down with 100%, 90%, 80%, 70% for users to shrink the overall HUD of this website. Example, I'm displaying now on 1920x1080 gaming monitor, but when I DM I use a Microsoft Windows 10 tablet and don't want to scroll during the game. I'd like everything at my fingertips, with a quick tab for my electronic API-called custom screen, a Tab for all my monsters that I've prepared (compiled before the game into a list), and I'd like to know exactly what "Campaign Creator" features I will have at my disposal for tabletop, as well as distance play.
I am otherwise clear on what you get when you pay.... I'm just trying to usability test this in my mind to see if overall I can one-stop-shop this site INSTEAD of the collection of everything I already own.

Actually I should have said campaign manager. Used the wrong word on my end sorry about that. From what I remember it will include an encounter builder, Initiative tracker. I'm sure there is more I'm forgetting.
The two biggest feature I'm hoping for is an API that adds functionality to any VTT the player chooses. (things like hit point management from the vtt to the digital character sheet) Those features would make me want to continue purchasing micro-transaction content beyond the core books. A mobile app would help too.
I think I will go with the three core books, Volo's Guide, and the Master subscription. I feel like running the adventures out of the physical books will be easier. It will depend on the interface, but without some way to place multiple bookmarks, make highlights, and to make notes for myself on any given page I just don't see myself being able to run an adventure in this format. I have to flip back and forth too much and need to make notes on the impact of the party. It did not sound like this kind of functionality would be present. I will reserve judgement until I see how this works.

The best thing for me is that, should the group fall apart, everyone still has the book they bought and doesn't feel upset they lost out.
These things happen for many reasons - people move house, make new friends, relationships break up etc.
