There are no animals around that you can detect, and you are at the base of the city of Omu. The guardhouse can provide some height, yes. But not much. You have two rounds to soften the yuan-ti up before they are upon you all. AREA #1 shows the guardhouse, and the cliff walls surround you all now. Musharib hides in the guardhouse.
Shariel cracks a wicked smile and draws her bow, "Master of Water and Darkness demands tribute!" Her arrow is loosed at the snake-headed men and Shariel's perception of the world sharpens.
(Bonus Action, Psychic Focus: Precognition, gain advantage on initiative rolls. Initiative: 18. Damage 4, attack: 20. Sorry, submitted advantaged roll for initiative, then damage, but no attack. That's why its all a bit out of order.)
(Question: are there any structures or tall plants to get a height advantage from?)
With an attack roll of 20, you do indeed hit for 4 damage to the closest Yuan-ti. Then you initiative will be 18 for actual engagement. Is this correct?
Using the remaining burst of initiative after her arrow, Shariel rushes to the guardhouse and begins to scale its outer walls like a spider.
(Say hello to NangNang, the hyper possessive Grung-god!)

Clayton’s hands seem to grab nothing, and it looks like he’s pretending to hold a sword. However, a large, intricately-forged +1 greatsword seems to assemble from the ether, much like how his guns do. He stows his shield and spins the blade around to test it. “That’s... new. Shagambi, you doing this? No? Huh. Guess I’m learning all kinds of things on this trip.” That’s his action. He’ll keep back near Shariel and wait for them to come to him. Initiative: 21
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Yasei's initiative roll: 20
She will remain hidden, with her katana pulled out and at the ready (wakizashi still resting in its scabbard), for the first round. Round 2 will be her attack.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Slither puts on his spectacles and checks his notes, he then stands tall and says "they hunt with their tongues by taste, yes? Hit them in the mouth!" (Shari El gains advantage on her next attack roll due to slither's learned advice).
Slither then holds up his bone club and speaks a word "shillelaugh"

(Correct! I had to change the wording around the rolls or it would have caused the cheater banner to flag my post.)

OOC > My bad, long day of cooking. Party starts in a few hours, will try to sneak a post in there somewhere, but no guarantee.
Bree
On the trip here...
Bree seems to settle into her usual self, mostly. She's a bit bossy(er) than usual, sinking into a huff when her ideas aren't accepted. "We need to stop now to rest. Not in ten minutes. Now!" or "We wear these flowers in our hair to avoid the zombies. What do you mean, no? Fine, see if I come to help you when you're getting eaten." But she also seem preternaturally aware of... well, everything. Nobody can sneak up on her. Once when Mal was getting ready to steal her staff, she calmly held it out to him without looking. She always seemed to know when Shariel was coming back. Like she has eyes in the back of her head. But mostly, she's the old Bree.
At area 1 in Omu...
"Ugh," she grimaces and holds her stomach. "Strawberry! No need to wriggle, just tell me!" Bree points out the Yuan-ti. "I don't see anything else in the vicinity."
Initiative: 4
Action on round 1 as the Yuan-ti approach.
Bree wil last the cantrip Fire Bolt at one of the Yuan-ti, if it is in range (120'): 6 to hit, 6 fire damage
Coming into Round 2 (one more before they get to melee range, right?)
Shariel looses another arrow from her vantage point, feeling supremely secure in the high ground.
(Let me know if there's and atk and/or damage bonus for elevation ;). Attack 13, Damage 7)
With the guidance of a local god inspiring her actions, Shariel's mind is free to drive the arrow with deadly aim and speed. (Speed Dart, 3pts: 21 extra force damage against the one first attacked)
Grishkar Darkmoor, Necromancer of Nerull the Despiser Kelvin Rabbitfoot, Diviner, con artist, always hunting for a good sale Bründir Halfshield, Valor Bard, three-time Sheercleft Drinking Competition Champion, Hometown hero
(Sorry! Thought we had everyone's actions for round 1 finished. Figured I'd put my round 2 attack in just in case I got busy later.)
