So, different people do different things in order to get money so they can pay other people to do things for them that they don't do. Like how a wolf pack has different duties for each wolf that allows them to get a part of the kill. But instead of meat, they use small metal discs that can be traded for something you want depending on the person you are talking too and what they do to get money for themselves. And each disc has a predetermined value.

Shmitty takes his money and tooth off the counter of the armory. His head is still ringing and he can the taste blood where his tooth had been. He throws his tooth in a nearby bin and sits down alone. When the halfling is done explaining currency to the wood girl he waves him over and he orders a honey milk. He spends the rest of the day looking out the window, watching the sun stretch the shadows until it is time for him to pick up his rapier.

Calgin laughs out loud at the comment about feral squirrels.  I don't know about squirrels, but that must have been the most embarrassingly bad fight I've had since I was first sent to the fighting pits.

Harmond shakes his head and says, "Those fighters are getting torn apart by our two lovely ladies; I'm neither surprised nor disappointed."

(BTW, I'm guessing Eldin was able to buy some explosive gun powder? If not, did he at least find out where to go for some?)

You won't have any trouble finding tools at the general store. (No need to roll for common items.)

Disappointed, Eldin returns to the Glory to watch the rest of the fight.
