Radallion with the 3 foot feather in his hat 😂 Mark inspiration buddy 😎
If you want to start the fashion trends you have to be waaaay out there. If that means feathers long enough to cause air drag and pull the hat right off your head so be it.
Stress points will act as a negative modifier to all attacks, checks, and saves. you will reduce these rolls against the number of stress points you have.
Stress points will be banked to a score of -4 before they are CLEARED and a level of exhaustion will be added. Once you reach the level of exhaustion, your four stress points will be removed, and you will start your stress again from 1. Stress can be reduced by short rests, long rests, or spells such as calm emotions, lesser restoration, etc.
Stress can be incurred when psychic damage is applied, when a fear roll is applied, when a particular stressful event occurs, or when one of your seeds of fear are being triggered.
If we do keep running into flagged rolls or wonky rolls in general, we might have to switch to character sheet rolls, and we’ll keep track via the campaign log, and take the results and post them in the thread. I’ll keep you all updated
Give me those sweet, sweet stress points. (Just to confirm: 1 stress point is a -1 to attacks/checks/saves? Obviously feel free to count the perception check as a 2 if it would've applied there, lol, somehow don't see it making a huge difference!)
@DM: If you are referring to posts where the warning "This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results." appears, in many cases it is a bug, not a real attempt at manipulation. For example our IC post 80... The warning appeared even if the post has never been edited (see that it doesn't have the "Last edited..." footer that edited posts have?) - so it's clear that the rolls of the post haven't been manipulated at all and that you can trust them.
The undue appearance of the warning is a bug that sometimes occurs and which I even reported personally some time ago... but evidently the staff has not yet been able or willing to deal with it.
Given this, obviously, if you prefer to switch to the campaign log anyway, I will adapt.
@DM: If you are referring to posts where the warning "This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results."
I am. and I know, thank you. From my experience (this campaign included) this flag can appear unwarranted, and the dice result tips can malfunction. all-together, the dice roller in the forum is not as polished as rolling from the character sheet, so depending on how cooperative it is, it may be my decision to switch over. Like I said, I'll keep everyone updated!
Not to worry though, I don't mind splitting up at all! I will play it like this: - each group has their own initiative order.
- For those groups who are only a group of one, their development is not dependent the posts of others and I will try to update them as frequently as I can *
- For groups containing more than one player, your advancement is dependent on every players response, and we will retain the 24 hour notice should a player not respond in a timely manner
- the groups who advance quicker than others WILL be placed on hold at an appropriate point, until the other groups catch up.
Specifically, since Miralen went on her own first, then Rhykal, Miralen will have a bit more advancement than Rhykal, as she had a head start. but at an appropriate time, I will place Miralen (And Rhykal) on hold, pending the advancement of other parties.
Does this make sense?
Also! Spoiler warnings: since we are split up, I will be posting in spoiler blocks, so if you don't want to read what other player characters are experiencing, you don't have to! If you'd like to respond in spoiler blocks, feel free. I don't expect that you don't click on spoilers that don't pertain to you, just remember, influencing your characters decisions based on information that your character isn't supposed to know is metagaming, and not permitted!
How are we hanging in there folks? The wheels of this adventure are just now starting to really get rolling and wanted to check in on everyone.
Just wanted to touch base on my previous post and give you an update:
-Miralen and Rhykal have (1) more Advancement-based response before their actions are placed on hold.
-The group of four will have (~4) posts (individually) before Miralen and Rhykal will be able to advance.
This is all in effort to keep the in-game pace of everything that's happening. I will reckon that setting up camp and fire took about 30 minutes, and it was 15 minutes or so that Rhykal left to find Miralen, and 15 minutes or so after that, that the rest of the party went to track them. all in all:
• it has been about an hour since your last venture down any path from the crossroads.
• Miralen has been exploring away from the party for 30 minutes
• Rhykal has been exploring away from the party for 15 minutes
I personally had imagined a shorter period of time between Rhykal's departure and the rest of the party's decision to follow her - perhaps 1 minute or 2 instead of 15 - but that's fine all the same. Svetlana has probably been distracted by her Vocies for longer than she thought.
Anyway, kudos to you for the effort to manage the groups separately - it's clear that this multiplies the work required of you.
I want to give everyone a chance to post as we continue to progress your groups portion of the story. If you only post dialogue (that’s okay) I will just assume that you’re kinda on autopilot, and following the rest of the groups decisions.
Honestly, also very appreciative of the amount of work going into this on your end, and more than happy to continue to navigate however makes the most sense on your end. Thank you for managing and for all the information!

Thank you 🙏 😌
and of course. As we travel into new circumstances I’m always open to hearing everyone’s input as well. This is my first PBP campaign as a DM so some circumstances have a particular nuance that tabletop just doesn’t have. Looking forward to continuing!
I’ve lost power like 3 times in two days due to the snow storm by us. I’ll hopefully be up and running with a post this evening if not first thing in the morning!

@DM: You're welcome!
@Ashen: nice try, but it seems Rufus will have to trust Svetlana as far as ravenloft informations are concerned 😉

The threads been super active! Really great to see. I’ll get something substantial up after I put the kiddos to sleep.

I will give Ansur a bit of time to declare their action before putting out a post. 😁
Posted! Ty for the patience

And sounds good re: dice rolls!

Lol, that's correct!

So we are getting a little fragmented!
We have parties:
1: Svetlana, Rufus, Radallion, Ansur
2: Rhykal
3: Miralen
