Chance earlier had been holding onto his Holey Stone, whilst focusing his will. Then when he was ready (about 10 minutes later), he gazed through the stones hole and began to understand all languages that he could hear. The Shadowtongue was now entirely comprehensible. Chance joined Valen, Dastrun and Katerina at the Blacksmith.
I wouldn't mind getting a rapier and a dagger made from the Star Metal.
Perhaps some of the metal could be used as part payment as well? It all depends on its value.
Katerina sees Chance aproching, and waves a hand - "Hello Chance, may I ask you what your skills are? I for one specalice in weaponcraft that uses spells for combat tricks."

Katerina, I am a Seer, I can see much about the mysteries of the people (Insight) and Magic (Arcana), Darkness conceals nothing from me. I can comprehend the words and writings of people. In Battle, I can conjure an aurora of shielding, reveal the doom of those who mean us harm and have other talents available.
Dastruns eyes go a bit wide, "I would love the extra bite, also my friend brings up a good point. These carry a rare metal not of this world, to get this metal, you'd need to find where one has fallen from the sky and battle beasts made of fire."
Valen chimed in. "How about after you make the weapons for us, you keep the remaining material of this chunk-" he tapped the smaller of the two Stars. "-and we throw in a little bit of gold on top, if needed?"
"That seems perhaps the fairest way to handle it. Just to clarify the order, you're looking at two rapiers, a dagger, and a zanbatō, right? That should total around six days, plus or minus a day depending on how cooperative the metal is. I'll need to get everyone who is getting a weapon made to pop in for an hour or two on the day I start their weapon, just so I can ensure the best balance possible for the weapons."
The blacksmith indicates to Qlevvaln to move the star closer to the forge, which Qlevvaln does, ordering several regular bullets at the same time, which he receives quickly, exchanged for 5 platinum pieces.

"Agreed" Dastrun says clamping him in a firm handshake. HE is going to look down at the words on his chest, as he was too preoccupied earlier with weapon talk. His eyes are drawn to them though as the blacksmith seems to stare at them a little long. He will slowly turn around and walk over to Valen and Kat, cracking his knuckles, "Care to explain what these words mean, I already have bad experience with Valens little magic tricks. I hope your not going down the same path," He stand to his full height glaring down at Kat, "what...do...the....words...MEAN."
"Distraction a success," Valen said, relieved. He didn't want to make a scene in front of the blacksmith- or the whole town really. Turning to Katerina and Chance, he asked, "So were there any other merchants of interest around here?"
Katerina giggles at Valen's trick, and says "You know, that won't distract him forever. also, while we can get any gear we need and some more things that are mostly curiosity's."

"Curiosities are interesting. That's why they're called 'curiosities.' Chance, do you object?" Valen consulted the Seer, seeing this as an opportunity to develop a bond with one of the quieter party members.
I have no objections, Curiosities by their nature are attractive to intelligent minds, so I need no gift to know that you Valen would be most attracted to those.
"Oh, that's a good point. I didn't think about healing potions, now that our cleric is out of commission for a while," Valen said, nodding along with Chance's statement. "Is there anywhere we can get something like that?"
"Me? I was an officer for a patrol unit. Mostly landed there because of my family name, not because I was competent," Valen said, laughing nervously. "Before that, I just studied magic all the time. Had to. I don't have the Gift like the rest of my family." The elf shrugged. "It's not a very interesting story to tell, that's for sure."
"I was at school before I received visions which revealed that I needed to pursue a career as an adventurer. Before I started adventuring, things went wrong and I found myself hanging with some difficult people. So Katerina, what about you?"

"Oh dear," Valen sighed. "Dastrun, you should really look at your back. Maybe find a couple mirrors?"
Dastrun runs of to find mirrors, cursing, and threatening Valen.

Chance said, whilst smiling at Valen and Katerina
Perhaps potions of healing might be of some use?
"Oh, that's a good point. I didn't think about healing potions, now that our cleric is out of commission for a while," Valen said, nodding along with Chance's statement. "Is there anywhere we can get something like that?"
Katerina nods - "Yes there are healing poitions, but it is somewhat hard to make them, so they cost 50 gp."

Valen sharply whistled. "Steep price. I suppose having at least one on hand wouldn't hurt?" The elf glanced at Chance, seeing if he disagreed at all.
"So Healing Potions are particularly expensive here, still they are very handy to have."
Chance smiles at Valen
"I totally agree with you Valen"
Katerina looks board at this exchange before asking "Valen... and Chance what did you do before adventuring? I'm just curious."
