I think i'm alright now, bit peeved but since our oh so smart attackers are dead it doesn't matter as much anymore.
As I say this is am wiping off the blood and guts from all of my gear with clothing stolen from the corpses.
I propose that we pause for a brief moment to burn the corpses because no one likes finding random corpses in the woods or the main road, and it seems its common enough for the dead to come back. Well relatively. I struggled but I do still have my sentience.

"I agree" says the dragonborn. "We could burn them. Let's put them together." Once all the corpses are piled up and with some drya branches he lights up a torch and mutters a little pray before throwing the torch to the pile.
"I don't know what were your Gods, but I send your souls to them. May the Great One have mercy of you in the afterlife for your lives were spoiled and your decisions were bad."
He then helps the others to make the camp and takes off his armor to take some comfortable rest lending on a tree, while polishing his sword.
Watching everyone from a tree a small distance away but enough to allow for so quite and privacy, Still-lock cleans their HookBlades of blood and observes the sight of the ambush for any valuables the Bandits may have dropped mid fight.
Stillock doesn't find anything from his distant vantage point. The bandits' bodies do not burn well, the flame sputtering out only a few minutes after being lit, with the bodies only somewhat scorched. After a couple of hours of light activity, it is time to continue along.

The group arrives at the location purported to be the bandit's hideout just before night. Stilllock overhears a pair of bandits talking, and notifies the others.
"- and so I don't get why we gotta stay this close to the village. I mean, the hideout's an hour north of here." "Yep. I completely agree. However, my main question is why we're even set up to rob this village anyway. There're other places closer to mains that'd pay us out even better." "Too right. I reckon we try an' get answers from our superior back at base after our shift, what say you?" "I'm down for that. Reckon he'll try to pull the wool over our eyes?" "No doubt man, no doubt."
Evidently, this outpost was not the hideout that you were looking for.

Ahh so its common brigand discontentment, I wonder if we follow them to their base if we'll obtain what we need or if we should go with a different option?

Though The first bandit is first to his foes, the human's shortsword refuses to leave its sheath in time for a good strike against Brenyax [Attack Roll, Natural 1].
