Myschael is the orphan of a devastated, broken, and scattered conclave. Their beliefs were radical to some, but never hostile. It was this divergent belief that caused them to be driven from their people and into the outskirts of the world. In time, the home they once knew grew even more wary of what they exiled. Some say that a new king was to blame, others claim the influence of demonic forces. Whatever the reason, an army marched with the grim purpose of exterminating all trace of the Elvish exiles.
Isolation provided a boon for the outcasts, though. Their core believes held that the land was filled with primordial life. Gods and Goddesses never created the world and inhabitants, but instead created children which would shape Creation. It is these children that the exiles sought to commune with and harness. In exile, the elves were closer to the natural world and found links to their primordial patrons. As the King's army marched into the outcast lands, they found the earth rose to defy them at every turn. Miles of rivers turned to black tar, rolling hills turned to craggy ridges, and the nights were a hungry blackness that no magic could pierce.
Scouts were sent throughout the land to find their prey, but only 1 returned. Maybe it was the fickle wrath of the primordial beings or a particularly lucky scout, but word came back about a monastery in a mountain range called "Disciples of the Eight". Discovery proved to be the easiest task for the invaders. Once the range was found, the land truly fought their advance. Elves in the mountains employed strange magic which shaped the essence of the land instead of the arcane Weave. Elemental destruction so potent it threatened to rend the world asunder. The marching army scattered among the mountains and valleys under orders to kill anything they meet. Myschael was an adolescent apprentice tasked with other veterans to cover the retreat of women and children. As they fled through a valley, arrows rained down and many innocents were lost. Her mentor selflessly sacrificed herself by bringing the valley walls crashing down on her, covering the retreat of the survivors.
Family destroyed and still tasked with the care of several innocents, Myschael pushed until they were clear of the mountains and deep into the surrounding forest. The survivors began trickling into the woods to rebuild their broken society, but Myschael felt a need to fight the injustices of the world and enhance her understanding of her people's power.

Characters:
Grishkar Darkmoor, Necromancer of Nerull the Despiser Kelvin Rabbitfoot, Diviner, con artist, always hunting for a good sale Bründir Halfshield, Valor Bard, three-time Sheercleft Drinking Competition Champion, Hometown hero
Found an interesting concept I'd like to try out: Minatarsis, Wood Elf Nomad Mystic.
Love the mobility and ranged attack augmentation of the Nomad. Think lone archer in the forest attacking from any direction every round. Blink, shoot, blink, shoot.

Lol I may consider it there. And yes, I happen to be a little Mystic Crazy (Soul Knife, Awakened, Wu Jen, and Nomad). I could also try something more melee-friendly like a monk or paladin.

Matthias, do you want us to roll for hit points beyond first, or take the suggested average?

You know what, I just realized that I mis-posted, sorry. When I mentioned the Nomad Mystic above, that was intended for a totally different campaign.
