Jalt is out cold at this point. Not necessarily sleeping but he's just shutoff from the world right now. All he remembers is the word Thar-eiss, and hears it over and over in his head. While holding onto the Staff of Healing, he will use Cure Wounds at 4th lvl for 23

Tangle will stay on the periphery of the ceremony/celebration/wake, eschewing any kind of participation or recognition. She rests as best she is able the next hour.
Bazavur, you gently peel the wrapping away without touching it, slicing the skin occasionally when it refuses to come off. Eventually you do manage to uncover the item - it is a helm. Your magical awareness lasts only six seconds, but I assume you will use it again - it reveals that the helm is indeed magical, and you sense divination magic glowing powerfully within it.
Bazavur learns that this is a Watchful Helm. It will increase your AC, but does not count as wearing armour. The AC bonus specifically would not stack with his Bracers of Defence though he would still have access to the other features.
Soar takes it easy, for the most part. She asks the group if they think the yuan-ti were after the party, given what they did to their lair.
She asks if anyone in the camp noticed anything odd before the yuan-ti appeared.
As people process what happened, she tries to be there to offer some stability and comfort to those who do not see violence and death nearly so much. She spends time helping to clean up wreckage and mess, and put things back to normal.
Later, around the party's campfire, she brings up Tangle's thread about needing to change strategy. "I agree. I'm not sure how to do that in a good way, but I'm all ears for suggestions. Do any of you have any tips on how I could work better with you, with the group, so that we don't get in our own ways again so much? I'd be very sad if I lost any of you."
Have a bunch of people fled the encampment?
She's fine to just wait for the mage to get to Waterdeep.
Tangle remains apart from the people of the encampment, but not the party. She seems much more comfortable with them. She will participate in making camp, in tending the fire, cooking, etc, though she still isn’t very talkative. But it’s not a sullen silence.
When it comes time to talk about how they work together, she chimes in. “I believe I am still our best scout, and should continue to serve as such, but it is unwise for me to engage the enemy, when Soar Jestalle and Bazavur are formidable against our foes. I should fall back, rather than begin and have you come to me. It is also true that Soar has the favor of her gods, and we all benefit from being near her. We should do that more.”
Tangle conspicuously does not mention Jalt.

ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he). Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. I love it so.
Soar, no-one in the camp says they noticed anything unusual before the yuan-ti arrived. A few merchants and other travellers left immediately after the attack; they were headed along the road to the relative safety of the nearest cities.
Bazavur doffs his gloves of missile snaring and dons the watchful helm. Taking the time to attune to it. (If able to of course. How much does it weigh?)
Bazavur finds the helm fairly light for such an item, not surprising for a magical item. Perhaps 3 pounds?
You pass the rest of the day, and spend the night in the camp or just outside, as you prefer.
The following day, the camp seems almost to have returned to normal. Apart from the small row of graves to the south by the bridge; some of the fallen were wrapped to be taken home, but for others whose homes were unknown, this will be their final resting place. The campfolk would have invited Soar to preside over a short ceremony of burial, if she wished to do so.
About midday you see a familiar face as the elf mage Sarel as she walks towards you from the direction of the great bridge. She looks exhausted: not injured, just very tired from many days of hard work.
Do you have anything you want to do before you leave?
Soar accepts with grace - she gives what she hopes is a meaningful, brief ceremonial speech that honors the fallen and spends a good amount of time talking about the importance of what they did, how dangerous the anathema (does she even know this name?) was and how their sacrifice was not at all in vain.
Overnight, she prays for guidance from Kelemvor, thanking him for his help and asking if there is anything else she should learn about this hydra snake creature, and Tiamat.
Whenever the party is ready (and she engages in any conversation the party wishes to have, agreeing to have Tangle scout in future fights), she greets Sarel with a friendly wave and gives her a lowkey update about the anathema fight. She says the update about their search for Varram can wait until they are back with the council.

Tangle, too, keeps it low-key. She remains watchful overnight, but seems rested in the morning and ready to go. When Sarel approaches, Tangle gives her a calculating look, trying to ascertain if there is more to her condition than just hard work.

During the conversation about tactics, Bazavur suggests the group adopt a diamond formation for most encounters. With him at the lead of course, Jalt and Soar on either side with Tangle providing long range attacks and covering the rear of the party. He does realize of course that this will be difficult to enact as Tangle will generally be up front scouting their way. But he thinks that might be the best option. Plus, as he points out at the end, he does have a fancy new helmet.
Tangle, despite the nature of your home, you're not the most experienced with magic that there is. Nonetheless, you do get the sense that Sarel has been using magic a great deal, day after day - that's probably why she looks exhausted.

You all complete your short rest, as the repairs to the camp continue around you.
The elven mage is due to teleport in tomorrow. What's the plan until then?
After the rest Bazavur moves to inspect the object he discovered earlier wrapped in skin. Gingerly peeling pack the wrapping with his hand axe.

Overcome with curiosity Bazavur picks up the item carries it back to camp and spends the next hour examining it. Trying to ascertain its function.
