"Hum Valrish, I found this key on Narrak... oh well ..too late..." "Belwar, have a look at this book. It is written in dwarvish but this is gibberish for me...I get a feeling this is link to their magical ritual..."
Checking up close the statue with two heads, Griminir feels this is more than a simple statue. "Rihuud... this is the poor giant that was under the effect of madness in the city.. I wonder..." he said, thinking out loud (Grimnir is actually proficient in Religion. Religion: 13) He places his hands on the second head and try to destroy the monstrous abnormality.
Grimnir remembers that the other statue was growing magically a second head also. OOC: Is there any name on that statue also ?

You sense a powerful curse on the statue of Rihuud. As your fist closes around the second head you feel the weakness in the stone and crush it in your palm. As soon as you do, the curse abates and the statue seems to be lighter in your hands.
The second statue has the name Dorhuun written on it. But you do not sense any evil, as it seems they did not finish the ritual. You believe the stone speaker may be interested in learning about the statues.
"That was weird" said Grimnir as he destroyed the second head of the statue
"Well, I'm ready to go. It doesn't look like there's anything else worth of our time here.
Let's bring back all the evidence and the 2 derros to the captain of the guards, I'm sure they would love to interrogate them. We'll have to say that Droki helped us a bit, I promise a would put a nice word for him if he was helping us."
"Belwar, back to the obelisk ?"
OOC: splitting the 45 gp and 15 sp. in 4 ? that's 11gp and 6sp (approximately)
You gather up the gold and scrolls and books and make your way back along the path to the Obelisk. You sense the familiar humming as you get close to the room that contains the monolith, but just as you arrive, a floating cloud like creature approaches you, sending out a tendril of thought to each of you. "You survived! I was worried when you did not return. It seems you have been busy. Did you destroy the obelisk? And the cultists?" says Amafrey.
"Yes, we took care of the cultists, they were performing a ritual of sorts, to drive giants mad, making them grow a second head. About the obelisk, we need it to get out of here. We'll ask the duergars' help to destroy it."
Amafrey accompanies you to the obelisk room, where the hum grows louder. It seems to be reverberating throughout the room, much more than when you left it earlier. You all gather close to the obelisk, and Belwar reaches out to touch it. Just as he does, there is a flash of bright light, turning everyone's vision white. White gives way to black, and you find yourselves standing in a tunnel, the sound of water dripping in the distance. Stalagmites litter the ground, and you can make out what appears to be a gate of iron about 300 feet away in the dim light of torches that surround it.
It looks familiar, though slightly different, to the gate you entered before into Gracklstugh. After a thorough check of your surroundings, you confirm this is the Western gate, opposite where you entered on the East when you first came to the city. You approach the gate, and showing your official badges from the Stone Guard, are allowed entrance to the city, though several of the guards eyes widen as they see the large egg, the flumph, and the shackled and unconscious Droki. On the other side of the gate you find the hustle and bustle of the town in full swing. It appears to be the middle of the day, and you are not too far from the Blade Bazaar and the captain of the Stone Guard's quarter, Errde Blackskull.
Before you get too far into the city, there is a loud booming rumble from beneath your feet. The whole city shakes, but only for a brief moment. Many of the townsfolk stop their business and startle, but as the shaking dies down quickly, they also quickly return to their business, thinking it just a tremor of the Underdark. However, you all hear a satisfied sigh in your minds as Amafrey gives off a contented vibe."That's better. I don't think you'll need to send any duergar down to the obelisk now. It seems to have taken care of itself... it was highly unstable after all..."
This is the first time Grimnir is teleported. He can feel his stomach moving up and down. "I'm not sure I like this magic, this makes my belly feel weird.... although it could be because I'm hungry. When was the last time we had a proper lunch ? I could use a good ale"
Grimnir is saying his goodbye to the flumph and look around. The whole group is here, everybody is safe. This is a good feeling "Oorr is right, let's drop those prisoners to the captain first. I think we are safe here in the city, if you want Jimjar and Eldreth, you go back to the Inn and check up on our friends. I'm sure Rumpaddum would love to meet Stool."
The dwarf face become a bit more serious."Let's not forget that we probably have a few drows looking for us. I was thinking maybe to ask the captain to cover our departures and send rumours that we left the city in an other direction. That should give us a bit of ahead time. What do you think?"
Jimjar and Eldeth agree to take Rumpadump and go check on Sarith and Stool. Derendil, quite fed up with fighting, and looking for some rest and relaxation, decides to join them.
The rest of you, Grimnir, Oorr (carrying the unconscious Droki), Zippy, Belwar, and Amafrey, head for Overlake Hold and the office of Errde Blackskull.
As you pass through town, you continue to receive stares from duergar and other visitors. Even though you have free pass through the Darklake District, it's hard to hide the large dragon egg you are carrying (with a constant bonfire under it) as well as the derro draped over Oorr's shoulder. You hear a few murmurs as a few people recognize the derro. "Droki! They've caught him. They must be quick too catch that fast little bugger,"and similar gasps of astonishment start spreading throughout the crowd. Your stone guard badges keep most of the riffraff away however, and before long, you're standing in the hold in front of Blackskull.
Errde's eyes go wide when she sees Droki. "You caught him! I have to say I'm surprised. He's evaded my guards for weeks! Is he... is he still alive? Did you find out what he was doing, who he was working for? Was it the Council of Savants? Did you find anything else strange going on in town? Don't just stand there, speak up! I need answers!" she demands.
Oorr doesn't like Errde's manners very much, he decides to show good feathers for a bad game.
"Captain you should be impressed. Droki was working for a derro named Narrak, who was the leader of demon-worshippers cultists. Apparently, they were the cause of growing a second head to the stone giant at the gate. And they were planning to do more. We defeated them of course. Also, more derro were obsessed with an obelisk of aberrant magic. We destroyed the obelisk, the derro and her floating ball-eye friends."
Errde seems earnest to learn more about Droki, and to confirm her conspiracy theories about what is happening in Gracklstugh. Her eyes glisten with a hint of madness that you have sensed from multiple duergar. She is honest in what she has offered you, equipment and passage for information and the captives, but her intensity seems exaggerated some how.
"Captain, if I may. You can take these derro as prisoners, but wait to see how things unfold themselves. If indeed there are enemies inside Gracklstugh, let them come to you. I appreciate you can now see us as trusted allies."

At the mention of Narrak's name, Errde's eyes go impossibly wide when she recognizes the bundle of derro Oorr sets down in front of her. "Guards!" she shouts, and three of the stone guard immediately step forward to pick up Droki and Narrak and take them to the prison. "So the Council was involved! This is what I need, the final proof to show the Deepking what a mistake it was to let those Derro try and govern themselves. They are trying to destroy us from beneath our very feet." As the guards lead Droki and Narrak away, Droki awakes, and glares at Valrish. "My boots..." he mutters before being taken down a stairway.
After the guards are gone, Errde turns back to Oorr. "You have done Gracklstugh a great service, as promised here's enough coin to purchase any gear you would like to help you find the surface world." Another guard steps forward and hands each of you a pouch containing 350 gold pieces."Do you have anything else to report? Perhaps what you're doing with that hefty egg?"
"Captain, if I may. You can take these derro as prisoners, but wait to see how things unfold themselves. If indeed there are enemies inside Gracklstugh, let them come to you. I appreciate you can now see us as trusted allies."
Would you know anything about dragons nearby?"
"We will question them ourselves, and figure out what is best for Gracklstugh, but yes, I see your way of thinking. As for dragons. Themberchaud is the local wyrmsmith and keeps all the forges lit. He is a red dragon who lairs near the Deepking's Hold in the southern reaches of the city along with the Keepers of Flame. I'm sure they would be interested in the egg."
