As the divine energy flows over his body, Shadow is filled with relief. He takes a deep breath and sits up to look at the person talking to him. "Thank you sir, I am fine now. and as far as the rescuing, it was nothing. I really had no other options. Besides my brother and I wouldn't have been able to rescue everyone if it wasn't for you and the others who were helping." Shadow points towards the alley where the two had run off. "One thing still bothers me though, there was this little girl who I pulled out of the rubble, she was covered in ritualistic paintings. Did you happen to see her run by in all the chaos?" Shadow glances around hoping to see the girl. He then spots Flame struggling to walk. "Excuse me, it seems my brother is hurt. If you may be of assistance?" Shadow runs over to Flame to try and help him up. "Flame! Are you okay? Shadow puts his arms around Flame to help him walk. "You know, I could teach you how to climb stairs if you want?" Shadow laughs a little trying to lighten the mood a little bit.
"I've been better, but I'll be alright. I think there were some people chasing someone down this alley. I was going to make sure they didn't need help, though you two seem to be in much better shape than I am." Flame says, while glancing hopefully toward the symbol of Lathander around the half-elf's neck.
(OOC: Elemoth is out of spells for today, but he has a healing kit and a strong bonus to the medicine skill. As far as I can tell, the rules don't allow for any kind of use of the healing skill except for stabilizing dying people, but I'd like to ask the DM if house rules allow for something like the recovery of 1 hit die once per day or something, before I post any action. Aside from that, the DM may have some kind of big post advancing the plot forward in large way, and I don't want to sidetrack it if that's the case.)
Edit: (OOC: Don't get me wrong, this is some excellent roleplaying from both of you, and I want to respond, I just want to know a few things before I do)

OOC: We're using standard 5E RAW rules, the medicine skill is not going to be used to heal people, that's not really the intention of it (contrary to what the name says). It's used to "
try to stabilize a dying companion or diagnose an illness."
As you are all deliberating about what's going on suddenly you hear the sound of running feet from the street leading away from the center of the city but coming closer. As you wheel around to see what terrible monster is attacking the city this time, you see that it isn't a terrible monster, a commoner with a sword seems to be leading the charge as he shouts: "We will take back our city! We will drive out the monsters! Or my name isn't Stephen of Cloy!"
"Yeah!"
"We'll do it!"
"Go Stephen!"
You then look behind him and you all see a small group of commoners. They've gathered clubs, staves, daggers, and more common weapons together to use against the attackers. They bravely run forward through the burnt ruins of the houses and shops to charge the enemy. Waterdeep is fighting back!
Suddenly you hear the sound of footsteps and... hoofbeats? As the commoners make it around 20 ft. from all of you rounding the corner is a terrible sight, dressed in ceremonial armor and an ancient but illustrious headdres a man mounted on a horse charges forwards. Wielding a ginormous pike he gazes at the crowd of commoners led by Stephen. It is at that point when you realize the man is not on a horse, but he is the horse! The lower half of his body is gone, and is the lower half of a horse. Not only that but several linen wrappings cling on to the body of this creature. You've heard of some of these monsters, but never in such a combination. It seems that this monster is a: CENTUAR MUMMY!
As Stephen bravely charges forward, the other commoners follow. Just then, however, the creature gazes at the crowd. Its eyes flash yellow and suddenly all of the commoners freeze, their whole bodies paralyzed and unable to move. Meanwhile Stephen wheels around as he shouts: "No! Come now my friends and we shall fi-"
He is suddenly cut off as the Centuar Mummy rears back and brings down their hooves, and as soon as the hooves collide with Stephen he turns into a pile of dust that is swept away by the wind. The creature then turns down the alleyway from where it came and says eerily: "Fiiinnniiissshhhh thhheeemmmm." It then thunders off down the street, vanishing into the chaos and carnage. Meanwhile, from the alleyway where it spoke towards, four men dressed similarly to the mummy (feathers, headdresses, etc...) shamble down the street with slackjawed expressions and skin flaking off of them. It's then when you realize that these people are actually Zombies! It is at that point when the paralyzing effects wear off and the commoners, with their leader killed scream and flee, but even though they are faster than the zombies, some of the commoners trip and fall (in classic horror movie style) as the zombies close in... And it is at that point when we have initiative!
Initiative Order: Flame (15), Torment (12), Marion (9), Shadow (5), Elemoth (4), Zombie (0 [Yes, I rolled that badly])
Flame starts to make his way toward the zombies, but realizes quickly that close combat would be a horrible idea in his current condition. He quickly pulls out a dart and throws it at the nearest zombie.

"Zombies! You look more like dog food than an army of undead!" shouts Torment. Aiming her incantation at the same zombie Flame attacked. (DC 13 Wis save, Damage: 3, disadvantage on attack)
Then, turning to Marion, "You look like you could bring the pain, let's make these Zombies dead again." (1d6 die bardic inspiration to Marion)

"What is wrong with this place?!" Shadow sighs as the zombies begins to approach. He sees Flame throw a dart at the zombie and likes the idea of keeping his distance. Shadow moves back a little while drawing his bow and looses a shot at the zombie closest to him.

While in the middle of talking to the 2 Tabaxi brothers, Elemoth finds himself in another rush of frenzied activity. First the local would-be militia gets scattered by a centaur mummy of all things, and now Zombies. Seeing that they're still some distance off, he draws his mace and shield and concentrates on calling down holy flame on the closest uninjured one.
"Burn in the light of the Morninglord!" he shouts, pointing his mace at a zombie.
(DC 13 Wisdom save, Damage roll: 8 )
Edit: Seeing that Flame is not in the best of shape, Elemoth tries his best to get to the front by the time the zombies close in, because he sees that he's probably one of the better armored members of the group, and hasn't taken TOO much damage yet.
The adventurers leap into battle (or limp) trying to save the commoners from the zombies. Flame hurls a dart towards the closest one as it supplants itself inside of the zombie's side. Said zombie then wheels its head towards you (you hear a snap of the neck as it seems to twist past what is normal) then lets out a "Rwaaaaaa..." as it begins to shamble towards all of you. Torment then follows Flame's lead and insults the zombie (Wisdom save 6) who then simply stands there, momentarily stunned by the tormenting words of Torment. Meanwhile Marion sends out three glowing darts, which all slam simultaneously into the ancient, but well-dressed zombie (note that interestingly each magic missile deals 1d4+1 damage, so they each do the same, they don't have individual damages). However, they only stagger it, as it recovers and shambles on. Shadow also backs up to be adjacent to his brother and fires an arrow straight into the zombie as it goes straight through the flaky skin and meat of the zombie's head (Constitution save 4 vs. DC 11). The zombie then collapses to the ground as the skin begins to peel away, leaving just bone and some flesh sticking to it. The dust of skin then simply flies away, drifting off into the ashy acrid air. Lastly, Elemoth brings down holy fire against a different zombie (Dexterity save 17) who is momentarily distracted by a nearby scream as the holy fire appears right in front of where the zombie was about to walk.
Post 1/2. Sorry for the double post, but I need to figure out which zombies are still "alive".
Meanwhile, the zombies begin to spread out against the attacking adventurers, allowing for the fallen commoners to flee down the street away from danger. They seem to spread out completely randomly though, with no regard to... anything really as one goes after Torment while two go after Marion as they try and scratch and punch and bite and kick and jump and do everything they can to devour the living.

Seeing that Marion and Torment are getting hit pretty hard, Elemoth clangs his mace against his shield to try and draw attention away from his teammates and then rushes towards one attacking Marion (or that was attacking her if she's retreated from them by then) and swings his mace at it. "Return to the earth!" he yells, as he brings down his mace with all his might.
(Swing: 21 Potential Damage: 5)
Regardless of what happens, he hurriedly says, "My friends... it seems that we aren't in the best of shape anymore. Perhaps we should engage in a tactical withdrawal for now and try to get the aid of the town guard or even some other adventurers."

Torment sees the zombies all around her and Marion, and positions herself so that she is within 5 feet of each of the undead, but not her allies. Then taking her viol in hand slides the bow down the strings making a cacophonous noise augmented by a spell to boost the sound. "You might want to cover your ears... if you have them," she says as she winks at the zombies.

Flame throws his dart at a zombie and sees Marion and Torment both get clobbered shortly thereafter.
"Well, I can't just throw needles and let these people die."
Flame runs forward next to Marion while grabbing his Quarterstaff with both hands. He swings his quarterstaff up toward the bottom of the nearest Zombie's jaw and lets the momentum of the swing carry him into the air as he kicks forward toward the same zombie.
Quarterstaff Attack: 22 (If I have advantage from flanking, here's the second roll 11 )
Quarterstaff Damage: 4
Unarmed Strike Attack: 11 (Advantage, 15 )
Unarmed Strike Damage: 6
Accidentally rolled 1d6 for Quarterstaff damage instead of 1d8 for two handed. 8

Shadow sees Flame rush forward to come to aid of our allies. Looks like they need our help, if I don't do something soon, they will get slaughtered! Shadow springs into action drawing both his sword and a dagger. Seeing that Flame and Elemoth are attacking the one attacking the wizard, Shadow goes to help the musician. Another explosion rocks the city, as you look up the situation seems to be worsening, several of the heroes do not seem to be in great shape, some have even been knocked out of the fight. And yet the number of mages seems endless, as more seem to be popping in to the sky of Waterdeep. Flame is momentarily shaken as the shock wave rushes over him as he is unable to finish his attacks they are released too early and are entirely ineffectual against the undead monstrosity. Torment then moves around the zombies as she releases a burst of sound and thunder some of the zombies stumble back, while one simply stands there, unaffected. Marion then casts an arcane spell, as the words leave her mouth, frost begins to cover one of the zombies. However, it sadly shakes off the frost resulting in it being unharmed by the spell. Shadow then joins the crowd of heroes and does his best to attack the group of zombies, but with all the hands and bodies he finds it hard to determine what is ally and enemy. As a result, he found himself completely unable to attack without possibly attacking a friend. Finally Elemoth joins the fray and, with mace in hand, strikes one of the creatures over the head. Said creature then rears to face him, a new target appearing. The zombies then go after their targets once more, except one of the ones that was attacking Marion switches to Elemoth. As the zombies continue their onslaught Marion manages to be protected by her spectral armor, Torment dodges the flailing of a zombie arm, but Elemoth is unlucky as the zombie sinks its teeth into his arm, hungry for "Braaaaiiinnnnssss..."
