I can't promise there would be much there. However, Krezk is off to the farthest reach of Barovia. If there truly is a force for good there, then they may be able to help us, perhaps even help us escape this realm..."
Grim's face scrunches up, "I am not a leader and i do not know for a certainty witch is safer. The knight could have been laying a trap, and going to the edges of this mans realm might prove more dangerous, as he might not want people to leave." Grim shakes his head, "I will not lead, but i will follow."

The small dwarf clears his throat, "We may not want to place all our eggs in one basket. We should move to the closest location and assess from there. We know nothin' about this land an' the last thing we need is to make any more assumptions."
Davmorn looks towards the pair of Ireena and Ismark, "Is there any place for us to stock up? We may need more supplies if need be."
The pair nods and Ireena says, "Yes, Bildrath's Mercantile. He would be able to sell common items that we could use on our journey. However, he's been known to be a bit... stubborn." ((In out of game terms, Ireena informs you that this Bildrath can sell items 25 gold or less listed under Adventuring Gear. Ammunition, arcane foci, backpacks, bottles, etc. He would not, however, have weapons, tools, or armor for sale.))

As you are loading the wagon, Ismark comes up to Bry and grasps his hand, "I am sorry that will not be able to join you all on this journey. I fear that if I were to leave now, Strahd would only further crush the hopes of the people. They need a leader in these dark times. However, you must leave now while you have the chance. Please, protect my sister." He then turns to his sister and embraces her, "Do not be too hard on these people, I just how much of a trouble you can be." Ireena chuckles and playfully punches her brother's cheek, "I will return to you, I promise." With somber farewells, the gates of Barovia open to your wagon as you leave toward the center of this dark land. With all that happened in the village, you had not realized just how late it was getting. After a while of traveling, the faint daylight that trickles through the heavy cloud cover begins to slowly fade, as the piercing light of the moon seems to be now on the rise. This will be your first night alone in the land of Barovia. Howls of beasts and the piercing hoots of owls echo across the quiet land. In the distance, thunder rolls over a stark white mountain range. It's strange, it's almost as if the clouds are intentionally pulled back to allow for the cold moonlight to pour through. Everything in this land seems to work together. It would be almost beautiful if it were not so creepy...

Bry sat in the wagon, watching the scenery pass by. He had nodded to Ismark, accepting that he was to protect the sister, or rather the group was. That's what it was, he was not soley responsible, it was the group that had to protect Ireena. Bry nodded to himself, happy to have absolved himself of some of the burden of responsibility.
As you all enjoy a quick, yet unnervingly quiet, rest during your ride. The wagon eventually draws to a halt as it reaches a crossroads. An old wooden gallows creaks in a chill wind that blows down from the high ground to the west. A frayed length of rope dances from its beam. The well-worn road splits here, and a signpost opposite the gallows points out in three directions: BAROVIA VILLAGE to the east, TSER Pool to the northwest, and RAVENLOFT/VALLAKI to the southwest. The northwest fork slants down and disappears into the trees, while the southwest fork clings to an upward slope. Across from the gallows, a low wall, crumbling in places, partially encloses a small plot of graves shrouded in fog. Wind seems to whip along the crossroads, almost cause the very trees to appear to reach out toward the gallows. Twigs and thin pine needles shower the wagon as the breeze shakes through the trees.
It's as George says that and turns, that he sees a vaguely humanoid, tree-like face next to himself on top of the wagon. It stares at him for a moment, before screeching a horrible, reedy screech. Needles fly from its mouth into George's face, ((22)) and scratch and tear along George's unraging hide ((8piercing damage)). Roll Initiative or get that wagon outta there!
