Out of the Abyss has a lot of info on Myconid society and how the commune together. Socially they are organised in circles with a scavenging circle, a farming one, a building one etc which is a little group of 5-12 Myconids that do various tasks. When resting they form circles and exchange information and ideas via spores in a semi-hivemind type thing but they each have free will.
I can offer you this Monster ENCyclopedia entry which covers all the myconid lore in D&D's history from their origins to their appearance in Out of the Abyss.
Mostly subterranean dwelling, underdark mushroom people. Interesting culture; Lawful Neutral iirc. Not tending towards a great deal of wandering, and generally a peaceful culture. Also quite capable of being very aggressive towards intruders, so you might say they're a bit insular and unwelcoming/hostile towards other species.
Not a lot really. They communicate through spores iirc, so like a form of telepathy. Intelligent. No real economy or trade, and technologically limited. They just don't have much interest in anything outside of their own culture in general.
AJ Picket (The Mighty Glustick) has a pretty good video that might help with some inspiration. He has a biology background so he really gets into thinking about a mushroom based organism / society.
