Darkvision unintentionally stacking or stacking incorrectly is now fixed,
We have added two modifiers to make the whole system work.
-
Setting darkvision to a specific amount and take the higher value if the darkvision is multi sourced.
-
Grant a bonus to existing darkvision making the bonuses cumulative.
Example 1
Creating an Elf character, that is a gloomstalker and then equipping the character with goggles of night.
-
Base darkvision of 60 ft from Elf.
-
Gloomstalker feature adds 30 ft, increasing it to 90 ft.
-
Goggles of Night add 60 ft, increasing to 150 ft. FIXED. (Now cumulative and no longer taking the largest bonus of the two resulting in 120ft)
Example 2
Creating a Human character, that is a gloomstalker and then equipping the character with goggles of night.
Expected behaviour:
-
No base darkvision.
-
Gloomstalker feature grants darkvision of 60 ft.
-
Goggles add 60 ft, increasing to 120 ft. FIXED (Now cumulative and no longer taking the largest bonus of the two resulting in 90ft)

Posted Feb 14, 2022No change to the Devil's Sight implementation yet, but the team is aware of how it's currently displaying and the fact it's not accurate per the rules

Posted Jun 22, 2022No problem! We've all been new once. Darkvision allows the creature to see in darkness (to varying degrees) to a certain range (usually up to 30 or 60 feet). A character can gain darkvision through racial traits, class abilities/traits, or items. There was a glitch in DnD beyond causing characters with darkvision from multiple sources (racial abilities, class ability, and items) to have too much range from their dark vision. Here is a link to the Elf in the Basic Rules where you can find a rules as written description of darkvision: https://www.dndbeyond.com/sources/basic-rules/races#Elf

Posted Nov 29, 2022Hey, just ignore this. My mom put me on Kids Place, so I can't do anything but the app, but I found a loophole. When you create a character in the app, it pulls up something in the app that makes it the website, and if I click on the logo in the top left, it brings me to the home page of the website, but still in the pop-up thing the app made. So if I put a link in here, I can use it to go to a different website, like Cool Math Games, or Poki Games. So just ignore this. https://www.coolmathgames.com https://poki.com
UPDATE!!!!!
It didn't work, it says it will open in Google if I do it.

Posted Dec 5, 2022no, devils sight gives you the ability to see normally in darkness, even if its magical darkness, whereas darkvision gives you ability to see normally in shadows (dim light) and see as if it were dim light in natural darkness.

Posted May 29, 2025I never would’ve thought a game where all you do is drift left and right could become one of my daily habits. But here I am, chasing high scores every lunch break. https://driftboss-online.gitlab.io/
