A group of titans of the D&D world have been assembled for your amusement. You can watch them play for free on twitch.tv/dndbeyond at 7 PM Pacific on Tuesday, December 10th. Your cast of magnificent roleplayers is:
- Patrick Rothfuss, author of the Kingkiller Chronicles and Viari on Acquisitions Incorporated
- Felicia Day, of The Guild, Mystery Science Theater 3000, and Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along-Blog fame
- Chris Perkins, D&D Story Designer and ex-Dungeon Master to the Stars
- Jeremy Crawford, D&D Lead Rules Designer and current Dungeon Master to the Stars
- Amy Vorpahl, host for Nerdist and the Vorpahl Sisters podcast, and gamer on Saving Throw Show
- Our very own Todd Kenreck!
What's in it for You?
Watching these masterful dice-rollers and storytellers play D&D would be enough for anyone, but we want to go one step beyond. We want you to mess with them—and mess with ‘em good. As an incentive, we’ve worked things out with Worldbuilders, a nonprofit begun by fantasy author Patrick Rothfuss, such that whenever you donate to them, you get to screw with the cast by, for instance:
- Giving their character a phobia of your choice
- Make them roll on the Wild Magic surge table
- Give them a horrible, horrible accent
- And more!
Worldbuilders is a nonprofit that helps turn the power of geeks around the world into a force for good. It benefits Heifer International, which helps families around the world break out of poverty. By donating during this game, you do more than just win prizes and mess with your favorite D&D celebs (though that does rock), you also do real, tangible good in the world. So be a hero this Tuesday night. Have some laughs at these players’ expense, and wield your wallet to make this world a better one.
You can donate to Worldbuilders! Here are the things you can do with your donation:
For $20
- Grant my character a potion of healing. (Limit 3 per character)
- Grant my character a re-roll during the game. (Unlimited)
For $25
- Allow my character a roll on the random Wild Magic Surge table. (Limit 3 per character)
- Grant my character an uncommon magic item (determined by the DM). (Limit 4 per character)
For $35

For $65
- Screw with me by giving my character an accent because I’m bad at doing accents. (Unlimited)
For $150
- Win my gear: I’ll send you the dice I used in the game, my character sheet signed by me and the other players, and an official “Pat Rothfuss Bullshit” card and Chris Perkins “GREEN FLAME” card. (Limit 1 per character)
For $200
- Grant my character a wish spell to use during the game. (Limit 1 per character)

Donate to Worldbuilders to help make a better world, and join us on the D&D Beyond Twitch channel at 7 PM Pacific Standard Time on Tuesday, December 10th to get in on the fun!
Wow
You should include the https:// in the URL in your first sentence so it formats as a link!
EDIT: The link at the end to the Twitch channel is also broken, presumably because it's missing the https:// and thus interpreted as a relative link on the DDB domain rather than an absolute link to the Twitch domain.
My DnD Group on Tuesdays might do this instead of our campaign...
I am definitely going to pay to make Felicia Day use her god-awful transylvanian accent.
@JamesHaeck, the Worldbuilder's link doesn't seem to have a way to indicate that you are contributing to these prizes. Could you clarify how we should indicate that we are participating in this event?
Okay, someone *HAS* to make at least one of them speak in a Monty Python falsetto! (preferably two, so we can finally have Mrs. Premise and Mrs. Conclusion in the D&D canon...)
Ooh, this happens on my birthday. I will try and watch after work.
That’s Dr. Horrible. He didn’t go through several post grad programs so you could just call him Horrible.
It looks like the instructions were updated on the Worldbuilder's page. Is there a way for those of us who donated before the instructions were added to update the comment on our donation to indicate what we were donating towards?
This is bleeping awesome! I totally want to do this and find out what the GREEN FLAME card and Pat Rohass Bullshit card are.
the twitch link doesn't work, says url not found.
Is there any way to find out what characters they are playing, this will be helpful to my evil plan. Mwahahahahaha!
Links to character sheets?
