Flash Step Slash is a paladin spell that reads as follows "Teleport in a straight line up to the end of the spells range. If you pass within 5ft or through a creature’s space while moving in this way you may make a melee attack against it with advantage. If you cast this using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, add 10ft to the range and 1d6 force damage per level above 1st."
My question is this. If the player passes through multiple enemies while teleporting do they get an attack on each enemy? Or are they still limited to the number of attack actions the character has. I keep flip flopping on it but the directions are not clear enough to me. I am fairly new to the game still so just wanted some other opinions. Thanks.
"Flash Step Slash" is a homebrew spell. It is not found in any official 5e sourcebooks and was created by the community. This question would be better directed to the creator of the spell, or to your DM. Make sure it's okay with your DM to use homebrew and ask for their interpretation. If you really want the community's ruling, I'd recommend putting the full spell into the "Homebrew and House Rules" forums.
Yeah, that spell is terribly written. Largely because if you teleport, you don't move through any other squares. You're in one and then the other without ever having been in any places in between, so you shouldn't get any attacks at all, since you didn't move through any other squares. And then there's the OP's question of how many attacks you'd get. This is just another example of why homebrew needs to be treated with extreme caution.

As written, it could make multiple attacks if the teleportation is done in 5 feet segment. It would blink repeatedly, appearing and disappearing every few feet until it reaches its destination.
If the teleport works normally, then no, the creature won't ever attack because the movement never physically pass within 5 feet or through a creature's space, it disappear and reappear once from it's starting point to its destination.

I got quotes!

Thanks for pointing out this is homebrew. I didn't even notice that I had homebrew stuff turned on. And it goes to show why I mostly avoid homebrew.
