I was comparing the 5e SRD to D&D Beyond, and there appears to be a glitch. in the SRD, the primary stat is DEX, in Beyond, it's STR.
Also, three variations in the SRD and only two in Beyond. Should I create custom lineage to overcome this difference? I like the flavor, I want to approximate either Tarzan or Ka-Zar. And the apefolk in Beyond gives me some spells that would mean that I would not have to play druid, and could play barbarian instead. Probably ancestral guardians.
Apefolk aren't an official race in 5E, either on here or in the official SRD. If you got them from https://www.5esrd.com/database/race/apefolk/, that site also has races published by third parties, in addition to the material in the official SRD. If you want to see what's in the actual SRD, you can find it here - https://dnd.wizards.com/articles/features/systems-reference-document-srd. If you're finding them here on D&D Beyond, they're likely a homebrew creation that someone made publicly viewable.
